Hello, sweeties!
We are continuing with the "ABC challenge", today is the turn to show you an untried nail polish starting with "R". My choice for today is a Classic of USA drugstore brands: Revlon. Keep reading to know more about the chosen shade!

What is ABC Challenge?
It is a challenge, organized by Helena from Lacky Corner, we are doing with some Facebook fellows who love and collect nail polish and have a lot of colours that have never been tried. The scope of the challenge is to start using those untried nail polishes in alphabetical order! Today is the turn of letter "R".

Revlon Parfumerie in "Surf Spray" is part of the Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel range first released in Fall 2013 -and still available to my knowledge. I got two of them at Manor as soon as I spotted them, that must have been in Spring 2014 or so. since then this color has been waiting patiently on the shelf until I decided to wear it.

Surf spray is such a fantastic shade of blue! I like it in the bottle, I like it on other people, but on me it looks kind of deluding,  I have the impression that it clashes with my skin tone, what do you think?
The nail polish is a gorgeous bright cyan blue with a flawless metallic finish, it has a slight color shift towards lilak on the edges of the bottle, but that's no visible on the nail at all. Its consistency is thin but manageable, it doesn't flood to the cuticles. It is a semi-sheer formula and needs three thin coats to achieve perfect opaqueness. But I tell you they are totally worthy because the result is impeccable. Just look at the pictures and try to find a brushstroke: There is none!
I assume this color would also look great layered over black.

About the scent, Surf Spray smells like a fresh summer cologne, in my mind it is a bit masculin, but in a nice way. It is quite strong when you apply it, because the nail polish chemicals smell and the scent are both still mixed. As soon as the polish start drying and the fumes go away, the scent is more subtle and a very nice one indeed. You need to take your nails near your nose to smell it, though.

I am enjoying this nail polish a lot and I have even received a couple of compliments wearing it because it is so eyecatching! I think it is a perfect shade for a Summer pedi, I will definitely be trying that!

What do you think about this shade? Do you like scented nail polishes? Do you own any of the Revlon Parfumerie polishes? Which one is your favorite?
