Hello, lovelies!
We are slowly coming to the end of May, which means it is already time for a new edition of my "shopping my stashchallenge!
This monthly challenge goes along the lines of "low buy", "no buy" and/or "shop your stash" projects, if you do something similar for yourself, you are of course invited to share your own experience! During the month of May I've chosen to use only one shadow palette (put aside other makeup challenges) by
NARS the sexy and versatile "Love Game" palette, which was a limited edition but such a beautiful piece!

I used to "COLLECT" makeup. I was a makeup collector. Now my approach to makeup changed and I find more pleasure to create looks than to own rare pieces. So, am I now a "makeup creator"? As my approach changes, I decided to write a series of posts that would allow me to commit to "Shopping my stash", which means going through products I own instead of buying new ones. I have decided that each month I would pick an eyeshadow palette, quad or quint from my collection and use it during the whole month. The month of May 2019 I've been playing with my  NARS "Love Game" Palette from ManRay edition and today I share with you one of the looks I came up with.

NARS Man Ray "Love Game" eyeshadow palette

This palette was part of the 2017 Holiday Collection themed around the work of Man Ray. The collection was Limited Edition and this particular palette was issued in selected countries but not in the US. The beauty gurus gave the palette mixed reviews, they were especially critics of the darker shades in the palette but I personally find it great, that is the reason why I bought it.
It has a wonderful selection of colours, from every day neutrals to darker hues for sultry evening looks. I love the green, blue and burgundy in there and those are my favourite for creating deep smokey eyes which aren't your typical black. There isn't one colour in this palette that I wouldn't use, they all work great on my skin, I haven't encountered the difficulties some people pointed out. That's maybe because I tend to have a light hand when applying? I don't know!
This one is definitely a keeper and I will continue to cherish and use it!

As usual, I am not trying to encourage you to buy anything with this post, more trying to INSPIRE you to use more what you already have, buy less and even getting rid of some of your possesions!

I've used this palette almost every day of May, because the light colours are so easy to apply, they go with anything, and even when I was wearing minimal makeup, as they are such fleshy colours they give a very natural look. Take a look at an example of a neutral colour makeup done with this palette here. The darker shades I've only worn a few times, but this look in dark blue was my favourite I wore it for a special date night with the hubby!
Do you have any eyeshadow palette that has both options for neutral daily makeups and special nights?

Don't hesitate to leave me a comment!

Love,
Nati
