Marionnaud new makeup range: EOTD using Silky eye shadow #03

Hello my darlings, how are you doing?
I thought to rest for one day of the nail art avalanche in my blog with all these challenges and reviews going on, I would love to share with you an Eye look I've done recently using one really pretty cream eyeshadow I bought from Marionnaud, which is in #03 Mysterious taupe. (Wonder why everything is so mysterious this Fall, lol!). I was very pleased to see they have a new makeup up range under their own brand and while the choice is not huge, they do have some nice stuff. Which is also nice is the price tag! lol. They're very affordable (for Swiss standard) I paid 14.90 CHF for this cream eyeshadow (about 15 USD). Let's take a closer look:

This product is comparable to Maybelline colour tattoos, except I find it a little easier to blend because it does not dry as fast as colour tattoos, so it gives you more time to blend colours in. It  seems to contain less product than colour tattos (those do not state how much they have! naughty naughty) Marionnaud's silky eye shadows contain 2.5g. I also like that the Marionnaud's pot has a protection film sealing the product, that protects it from drying fast. Cream eyeshadows tend to dry, so that's a good thing.
The shade I picked is a taupe slightly leaning to mauve with iridescent and silver shimmer, it has a lovely velvety finish without being matte of course.
So, here is the look I've made, a quite classic smoky eye using the cream shadow as a base and playing shades and lights with some powder shadows on top. But I haven't added much colour to my lower lash line, nor I have extended the colour towards the outer corners of the eyes, so I guess that makes it pretty wearable for daytime too!

And here is what I've used,

For the eyes:
- NYX Above & beyond full coverage concealer in 04Beige
- Marionnaud Ombre soyeuse 03 Taupe mystérieux
- The following shades from the NYX Butt naked eyes palette: 1,5 for hihglighting inner corner ant brow bone, 8 in the crease & 10 for filling my eyebrows (see the picture of the palette with corresponding numbers below)
- NYX Eye/eyebrow pencil 901 Black along the lower waterline
- Nyx Gel liner & Smudger 01 Jet black , aplied on the upper lashline and smudged to soften the line.
- Nyx Doll eye Mascara Volume
- Sigma brushes E55, E70, E40, E25

NYX But naked eyes palette

For the face:
- NYX Above & beyond full coverage concealer in 04Beige
- Diorskin Nude Tan BB Cream 001
- Benefit Hello flawless compact powder Beige
- Dior Nude Tan Coral Glow

Lips:
- NYX Mega shine lipgloss in "Smokey look"

Here you are two full face pictures, so you get the idea of the whole look.
Have you tried Marionnaud cream eyeshadows already? Do you like cream shades at all? If so, which brand is your favourite? Which colour? I'd like to know your thoughts!
Love,
Nati

    1. Salut ma biche, your so sweet, I bet you're gorgeous with your sultry chocolate eyes!
Let me tell you, while this one is a good eyeshadow, Chanel one has easier application because the formula is smoother and also have more sparkle because the shimmer is finer. No doubt a good investment. But for everyday wear Marionnaud is great too, as Maybelline colour tatoo, for instance. You know I always find a good excuse to splurge on Chanel myself, Chanel is Chanel !!

  3. This new Marionnaud creme eyeshadow looks interesting. Did you have any problems with creasing? I love to use creme eyeshadows as a colored base, usually the Maybelline Color Tattoos.

    1. hi Aglaya, Thank you for asking! I'll update that, I guess it's a pretty important info I missed, lol!
No creasing at all! I think they're totally comparable to Maybelline Colour Tattoos, except I find Marionnaud easier to work with because it doesn't dry so fast so you have plenty of time to blend it with other colours. But the colour range of Colour tattoos is larger. There aren't bold colours at Marionnaud's!
