Hello, lovelies!
A while ago I started a series of posts that I named "Brand in the spotlight", where I dedicated one blog post to feature only one brand. In this series, I present new (or new to me), big or small,
brands that have some outstanding aspects that call my attention and that I consider they deserve to be featured and shared with you!
Today I'd like to share with you a brand that just arrived in Switzerland at parfumcity.ch: this is Gabriella Salvete. read my review on the products I got* from this brand and the look I've created using them!

May 29, 2018
Hello, my lovelies!
The month of May is gently coming to its end and it's time for me to do my monthly balance on the products I've used up. There aren't many, but this will be a very polarized post: 3 of these products I LOVE with all capitals, and 3 I HATE and strongly dissuade you from getting them. Can you figure out which is which? Well, no need to guess, just keep reading!
Makeup │ Mint and Champagne Summer Look [Monday Shadow Challenge]
May 28, 2018
(Défilez vers le bas pour le Français)
Happy Monday, lovelies!
What a great weekend that was! It was filled with fun moments and high in emotions. My girl's birthday party was a success, our dear friends and family were there and I was so very happy. One of the things I enjoy the most in this life is hosting parties, any kind of party, children's parties, dinner party, grill party (though we don't have a garden, lol) whatever! I love gathering the people I love pampering them with things I've prepared for them with love and dedication. I think I got that from my mom. My hubby, on the other hand, though he enjoys the meeting moment, he dislikes all the prepping and the cleaning afterwards (even when it's me doing
Well, it's makeup time! The Monday Shadow Challenge proposed us to combine "Mint" and "champagne" but not for a summer drink, lol, just the colours! Let's see what I've come up with.
Nail Art │ Pink and Lace Wedding manicure [26 Great Nail Art Ideas]
May 26, 2018
Hello, lovelies! Happy Saturday!
I'm like a busy bee today, preparing my 3-year-old girl her first Birthday Party! We will have pink decorations, balloons, games, and Hello Kitty cake made by.. ME! LOL I've always done my kids special cakes for their parties, and I quite enjoy it. My results aren't perfect but done with MUCH LOVE, that certainly shows! If you are interested in seeing what I'm coming up with for my gal's party, just follow me on Instagram Stories!
So, let's get into nail art! Today the "26 Great Nail art Ideas Challenge" prompt us to create a "wedding" design. It isn't especific about being a "bride's manicure" or it could also be a mani that a guest could wear to a wedding, so it was pretty opened. This is what I have to share with you!
Makeup │ Metallic silver & mauve for the Sign of Gemini [Zodiac Makeup Challenge]
May 24, 2018
Hello, my lovelies!
Is life treating you well on your side? Here I'm still struggling with getting my Spring cleaning done. Yep, I'm super late... well, don't blame me! I'm a natural procrastinator when it comes to extra cleaning. I've been busier than usual on weekdays and then we've been having such nice long-weekends: who wants to stay inside cleaning?? Right. So I am a little behind... well, ok, a LOT! I made a list of unavoidable stuff: washing duvets, defrosting the freezer, cleaning the oven, decalcifying every machine, pipe, and whatever that touches the water, polishing the wooden floors, emptying all cupboards and cleaning every single item... I'm trying to squeeze one task per day into my schedule, let's see if I finish before the winter comes back, lol! What about you? Do you procrastinate the tasks you dislike or you get rid of them first? I'm the kind of person that starts with what I like the most and leave the unpleasant for the last ;)
Today I'm washing every pillow and mattress cover in the house, which is a "light" task so I get enough free time to share my new makeup look for the "Zodiac challenge"!
As you know, I'm showing more love to the makeup I own instead of buying new items and I challenged myself to create twelve different looks with the BHCosmetics Zodiac palette, one for each sign. The palette has two beautiful colours for "Gemini" zodiac sign and today I used those to create this crazy "galactic" metallic makeup. I hope you like it!

We give you a list of things you can do to make your morning routine healthier.
Makeup │Festival Coral and Neon Pink Look [Monday Shadow Challenge]
May 21, 2018
(Défilez vers le bas pour le Français)
Happy Monday, lovelies!
We are still enjoying our three-day weekend, we are about to go out for a picnic with the kids, relax and enjoy ourselves. Is it also a bank holiday where you live today?
Today's Monday Shadow Challenge is more than bold, totally crazy! We ought to combine Coral and neon pink. I definitely don't use this colours a lot, not on a day to day basis, not even rarely, it was a real challenge for me, I look at my picture and I don't recognize my style!! But I suppose that's fine for pushing my boundaries and doing things outside of my comfort zone. So today I give you two clever tips on how to wear neon colours on your makeup for a party, festival, or just to have fun! One is how to create your own DIY neon eyeliner, and the other is how to wear neon lipstick in a more subtle way. Without further ado, let's take a look.
Shopping my stash │Purple Smokey look with Chanel Tissé Cambon
May 17, 2018
Hello, lovelies! How are you today?
The month of May has been so BUSY until now, it must be the first time I say "what? we are only half way into it?", haha, honestly, I have the impression we've done so many things this month! We had my sister's birthday, my daughter's birthday, then a 4-day weekend, my hubby having loads of work with big presentations in between, my children attending two birthdays! (has everyone been born in May??!!) and we still have on the schedule my gal's doctor's appointment, my boy's annual visit to the dentist, my boy going to a school excursion, yet another long weekend, and my daughter's first official birthday party!! I can't believe how much is going to fit in the next two weeks, lol.
Has May been so busy as it's been for me?
It's time for a new edition of my "shopping my stash" challenge. This month I've been playing with Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow #228 Tissé Cambon, which I think is perfect for spring and light girly looks or very sophisticated smokey looks! Today I'm showing you one the looks I've created with it, I hope you like it :)

Makeup │Chestnut & Lilac for an Intriguing and Unusual Combo [Monday Shadow Challenge]
May 14, 2018
(Défilez vers le bas pour le Français)
Happy Monday, lovelies!
Yesterday was Mother's day in many countries and also in Switzerland! We celebrated it discreetly with a brunch I prepared, but I must say I was spoilt rotten by my kids and hubby, I got so many presents! (If you are curious you can check them on my Instagram!). Other than that, it was a gloomy weekend so we spent most of it resting, watching tv and playing game boards. When is Mother's day in your country? How do you celebrate it?
As every Monday, I have a new makeup look to share with you for the Monday Shadow Challenge! Today, the colours are a rather unusual combination, "chestnut & lilac". It seemed a bit complicated at first to ut these two shades together in one look, but once it was done I found it quite cool. Keep reading to find out!
Nail Art │ Neon Rainbow Nail Design [26 Great Nail Art Ideas]
May 11, 2018
Hello, lovelies! Happy Friday!
Yesterday, my little princess turned 3! It was such a delightful day although we didn't leave the house (the weather was terrible). She was so very happy of becoming "a big girl" and her joy was contagious. I've enjoyed the day a lot and, of course, I was off-line, off-blog, off-social media which was really needed. The day was full of surprises, I made chocolate-cookie cheesecake, we received a HUGE box from Argentina with presents for my little girl (and my boy too) from my mother, it is always such a joy to open those, they are full of magic in a way. We also had the last minute unexpected but so pleasant visit of my little girl's godmother! She's the best friend ever! We will organize a party later this month, with friends, family, games, food and balloons, so I didn't invite anyone yesterday. She came say hello, because she knows my girl is telephone-shy and unable to say a word on a video call. That was heartwarming and everyone went to bed with a smile after such a beautiful day!
So, let's get into nail art! Today the "26 Great Nail art Ideas Challenge" prompt us to create a design with "rainbows done with a technique starting with letter S" So Here I am showing you my nails done with "Stabilobossing stamping", LOL I just made that up. But if you want to find out what this is about, please, keep reading!
