Hello, lovelies! How are you today?
The month of May has been so BUSY until now, it must be the first time I say "what? we are only half way into it?", haha, honestly, I have the impression we've done so many things this month! We had my sister's birthday, my daughter's birthday, then a 4-day weekend, my hubby having loads of work with big presentations in between, my children attending two birthdays! (has everyone been born in May??!!) and we still have on the schedule my gal's doctor's appointment, my boy's annual visit to the dentist, my boy going to a school excursion, yet another long weekend, and my daughter's first official birthday party!! I can't believe how much is going to fit in the next two weeks, lol.
Has May been so busy as it's been for me?
It's time for a new edition of my "shopping my stash" challenge. This month I've been playing with Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow #228 Tissé Cambon, which I think is perfect for spring and light girly looks or very sophisticated smokey looks! Today I'm showing you one the looks I've created with it, I hope you like it :)
Last Spring I cleaned up a bit my makeup collection and ditched lots of stuff that smelled weird, were filthy or broken. I came to the realisation the I had a lot of items (especially high-end stuff) barely used, or NEVER used, still in their original packaging!! Especially the high-end eyeshadow quads and quints: Here take a look!
I know... Those items were needing LOVE a.s.a.p.
I decided to start this new series of posts here on the blog that would allow me to commit to "Shopping my stash", which means going through products I own instead of buying new ones. I have decided that each month I would pick an eyeshadow quad or quint from my collection and use it during the whole month. The month of May I've been playing with Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow #228 Tissé Cambon and today I share with you one of the looks I came up with.
Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow #228 Tissé Cambon
Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow #228 Tissé Cambon was launched in Spring 2014 when Chanel revamped their whole permanent range of eyeshadow quads. Back then, this was the only quad I got from the 12 that were released. I have already featured this lovely palette here as it used to by one of my favourite for Spring.
The palette I've chosen to use in May has which is a beautiful palette with a dark satin purple, a bright pink, a very shimmery taupe and a luminous light lavender (almost white). It has been quite a long time since I las used this quad, so it was time to put it into rotation again! Unlike most of my articles on re-using old makeup, this quad is not discontinued, it continues to be part of Chanel's permanent range and you can find it here.
As usual, I am not trying to encourage you to buy anything with this post, more trying to INSPIRE you to use more what you already have and buy less!

I think this palette is very versatile, as it can be used subtly for everyday looks in pink or taupe, but it also offers the possibility of doing a more sultry look like the one I am showing you today.
