Hello my dears! How has your week started?
Mine started a little stressful with so much to be done, but I had a wonderful weekend with my family and friends, one of our friends turned 40, so we had a lovely birthday party for her, all in all I can't complain.
Today I'm bringing you the second "Battle" of this challenge which is a colour battle Black vs. White. This post should be one of those "How to...", in fact it should be "How to ruin your manicure in one simple step", and the answer would be even shorter: Just let Natalia do her stamping.
Seriously if I'm lacking anywhere is in the stamping department. I always manage to ruin every single nail I stamp. But I'm stubborn girl (though I prefer to say I'm inclined to perseverance ;). No matter what, all was planned in my -perseverant- head that I had to do a stamping black & white, whereas I had to ruin my mani :P

This was before the disaster
and after the passage of hurricane
I have one new record: every current stamping mistake in one single manicure! Firstly the design was too short for my nails. I have bare spots, wrinkled pattern, deformed pattern, missing spots, topcoat dragging, stamping polish peel off, and even a little overlapping (my thumb). Actually the pinkie nail was the only one major defects free. I bet you've never seen a mani so "complete", all-in-one.
Anyways, if you have some patience and tips on stamping for me, I'd be most grateful!
For this mani I've used:
China Glaze Liquid Leather
OPI oh so glam!
Konad Special nail polish white pearl
Essence stamp me! black
Konad plate m65
Manhattan Pro French tip whitener
Please, don't forget to check what the other participants have done to their nails to represent this battle!

I think it's gorgeous! Love the reversed accent - Ooh I do like a black tip!
ReplyDeleteAnnie Suzie, thanks for reading and commenting. I'll keep trying, it was really a pretty manicure... in my head! lol
DeleteThis is so cool! Keep stamping :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement! I really appreciate it.
DeleteHi Natalia, now I really love this and it's not half as bad as you make it sound. On my iPhone I had to enlarge the photos to actually see any flaws (if you insist calling them so) ;-) So in short: elegant and sophisticated Interpretation of this theme!!! Keep going girl!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Christine! Thanks for your positive comment, it really means a lot to me!
DeleteOh, you're too hard on your self! You're just looking at the details and aren't seeing the whole picture, because I think it looks amazing and is a great design! :D I loved the pattern you've chose and I think that the little french smiley was just perfect making it look even cooler especially since you got that accent nail which now is even more emphasized. But I agree with you stamping is so hard, those whole-nail-patterns are hell for me, because I apparently got monster large nails so they wont fit my nails. When I do stamping I use the smaller ones, you know small flowers and all that. They are much simpler to stamp and are good to practice with. It's also easy to remove if you make mistakes since the base is completely dry and the stamped only is on a thing layer. It's then easy with remover and cotton just to gently dab away the stamped part and redo again. I think that's harder with the pattern for the whole nail. :)
ReplyDeleteGelic, thanks for the nice comment and positive critique! I'm absolutely going to try the small images next time. I thought it would be prettier, just didn't count on my poor skill.

DeleteBesitos!
I think you are to hard on yourself!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was: wow! that's nice!!! And I still think that!
Stamping isn't easy... But practise makes perfect as they say ;)
My best advise are:
Stay cool and don't rush things! If it doesn't feel right, don't stamp! Wait a bit and start again.
I apply one coat of Seche Vite on the base polish before stamping. Let dry completely and then stamp. Because of this you can carefully scrape off the stamped pattern with a nail if the stamping goes wrong. Then just try again! :)
Thanks Jezz! I'll keep your advices in midn when stamping next time.
DeleteWow, gorgeous mani!
ReplyDeleteThanks Judith, you're so nice!
DeleteOh my god, This is one of the most beautiful manicures I have ever seen. I agree you are too hard on yourself. If I could stamp as well as this I would be a very very happy lady! Really lovely twist to do the tip colours too. Everyone's saying its beautiful because its true :)xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Ithfifi! Thanks to all the encouragement you and the girls give me. (I do think you exaggerate a little, though). I guess putting smaller pictures helped me a bit ;) lol.

You are too tough on yourself - this looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks Natalsie!
DeleteThey came out really nice :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading Agia!
DeleteThese looks awesome!!!! I was blown away when I saw these, I can't see any of the 'flaws' you insist are there :) Hahaha
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! Keep up the good work, stamping can be tricky :) I am still learning too.
Thanks for your nice comment, citygirl907. I'll keep trying!
DeleteYour nails are ... gorgeous!
