I'm very excited to share my outfit post this week because it is about a piece I absolutely ADORE: a white broderie dress for summer!! White cotton or linen dresses are the perfect choice for your summer event, outdoor party, BBQ party, beach party, a simple picnic with your significant other, any family reunion, you name it! (Except a wedding, please, don't wear a white dress as a guest to a wedding, that's usually the colour reserved to the bride).
I know for moms in general white is not the most practical option, but I've wanted a white summer dress for so long, I just had to give in! Finding the right one wasn't an easy task. I ordered 7 different dresses (was that 8?)  from different shops until I found the one I wanted to keep. If you follow my Instagram Stories, you've seen and probably even voted for the dress I've finally kept, now I'm in love with it!! Were you wondering "how are you going to wear a white dress??", well, white goes practically with everything, you don't really need a tan to pull it off you just need the right white for you. Today, I am going to show you two of the many ways I style my white dress for different occasions and give you a few tips about finding the right dress for you!

Last week, I was feeling ill, so I didn't do new nail art designs, obviously, there wasn't a Nail Art post either! But the "When Colors Collide" nail art challenge was doing "mint, black and white" nails which is such a beautiful combination that I couldn't skip it. What a beautiful sunny day we are having today! We've been out and about with the children enjoying the sun I hope you are enjoying it too.
The first week of Spring is usually as disappointing as very much attended. But this year, it seems the nice sunny weather is right on time with the season changing! Today I went out and had a walk without a jacket!! It was sooooo nice.

How has your weekend been so far? We are spending it indoors, mostly because everyone (except me!) is feeling under the weather, coughing and sneezing. The snowy and rainy weather outside don't call us to do any outdoor activity today, so I'm blogging and cooking while the hubby and the children are binge-playing board games. Not bad for a winter weekend!

Let's talk about nail art now! "When Colors Collide" nail art challenge this week inited us to create manicures in "dark blue, copper and white" and only these colours. I really like the combination between dark blue and copper, I just had to come up with an idea to include white in the mix, so I decided to do an accent nail on my ring finger with a marble design. I arrived yesterday to my parent's home in Argentina after 24 hours travel. I didn't have time to share on Social media because I was too busy living the moment. I haven't been to my home country in two years and the reunion with my parents, my brother and nephews and my sister in law was full of emotion and we had so much to talk about!!

We have a lot of plans for this weekend and for the upcoming holidays, but I also have a lot of content to share with you, I just don't know when I will find the time haha! Given the fact that we have also 4 hours difference. My plan for the blog schedule for the next three weeks, is to post on Mondays and Fridays evenings, maybe once more on Wednesday if I have the time. Let's see if I will make it ;)

Today the  "Nail Stamping Sisterhood" Facebook Group proposed us to make a manicure with "Ugly Sweater" theme, which is a very popular theme in this season, especially in the northern hemisphere! LOL Dusing my childhood and youth I lived in Argentina where is a very torrid summer during Christmas and New Years' festivities. Those festivities never included "ugly sweaters" or any other sweater, so this is something I learned when I moved to Switzerland 15 years ago. What about you? Is it cold or warm during Holiday Season where you live?

October is International Breast Cancer Awareness month and the perfect  occasion to remind one another to have your annual mammography and control periodically your breasts because any woman could be victim of this disease. There are simple techniques that anyone can practice at home, but the most reliable and which ensures the earliest detection is really the mammography test! Don't be slacking!!  I know it's not a pleasant thing, but it is really necessary and important!

To raise awareness people wear the pink ribbon, so we have teamed up with the ladies of the"Nail Stamping Sisterhood" to create manicures with the pink ribbon! Here is my take on it, I hope you like it!

Today we have another appointment for the "Nail Crazies Unite" nail art Challenge! This week's theme is Blue and White Nautical nails. This is also the first time I don't have a new nail art to share with you. Oh, noes! Well, you know, I love painting nail art, but this week was almost impossible. I had so many random things to do and prepare, my children are still on school break, which means my mornings are super short! I've also recently started a healthier lifestyle, which consists of exercising more. I feel wonderful this way, but it is also more time consuming of course. Not to mention that next Monday is back to school for my boy, so there were a few things to get back on track as well. That's why I didn't have the energy to do my nails last week.
Oh well, you know I always manage to paint my nails, regardless of all my activities, but it is always a chill out moment to me and if I had to do so in stress and a forceful way, I felt it made absolutely no sense. So I decided that for today's challenge I was going to repropose to you a nail art I've done in the past, which is blue and white and nautical too! I hope you'll like it :)

Today the  "26 Great Nail art Ideas Challenge" prompts us to create a manicure with our  "Least favourite colour" and for the life of me I can't think of a colour I don't like!!  I know this sounds ridiculous, but while it is easy for me to spot the three colours I love most, there is none I truly dislike. I like the rest all equally!
So I decided to tweak this challenge a bit and go with a colour that doesn't suit my skintone. Well, that's another story! I love the colour itself, but I think it is not flattering against my skin. I think we've all have an "Unflattering colour" right? For me it is every grey colour with a blue tint! What is your unflattering colour?

Today the  "26 Great Nail art Ideas Challenge" prompts us to create a "Graffiti" nail art. I wasn't sure what to do, and I haven't had time to paint my nails all week and I was ready to skip this challenge. Two hours ago, sadi to myself let's google graffiti nail art and see what can be doen. But all the cool designs I found were very sohpisticated and required free-hand painting skill that I dont' have! While thinking how to make this nail art the easy way, I thought I would try some layered stamping, and see what it resulted. If the result wouldn't be horrendous, then I'll post it.
Well, I'm not terribly happy with the result of my manicure, but I don't think it's hideous. I just suck at freehand painting! LOL.

Today is another busy Friday! But only the nice kind of busy ;)  we'll be out shopping all the afternoon. It's awesome, as the weather warms up the social appointments flourish, we have a late b-day party tomorrow, Sunday we'll probably go for a boat trip on the lake (depending on the weather), we have another birthday in the middle of next week, then a BBQ party next Friday, a Baptisme on Saturday and another dinner party next Sunday!! Believe me, I am NOT usually this busy socially speaking, but I LOVE it! What about you? Do you go out and meet up with friends more often these days?

Today the Nail Crazies Unite challenged us to create a "Modern Art"  manicure! This was a huge challenge for me. I am a huge fan of Modern Art in general, especially Abstract art and my favourite artist Wassily Kandinsky, which oeuvre is so vast! I honestly felt it was totally not-doable to reproduce or "copy" one Kandinsky paintings on my nails. So I was already feeling this was going to be a total fail when I remembered that I owned a MoYou London Stamping Plate about Modern Art! So here is what I came up with.

What's your hobby? There's a lot of things that I enjoy doing for fun, but in the past few years I find nail art one of my favourite hobbies. It's a creative activity, that involves a little planning, some practice and special technique, and it also kind of therapeutic! It definitely helps me unwind and relax!
