Hello, sweetie-pies!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far!
Today I'd like to show you my entry for the Nail Crazies Unite Challenge, which theme for the week is "Sweets or fruits" manicure. Here is what I came up with, I hope you like it!
I've been wanting to create a "Tea Time" manicure for so long! In fact last year I got this cute stamping mplate from MoYou London dedicated to Teatime, with all kind of cupcakes, slices of cake, tea pots and tea cups, sooo freaking cute! When I found out that today's theme was "Sweets/Fruits" instead of thinking about candy, I thought: "cupcakes!" LOL

Creating this manicure was really fast. I already had my base colour (MoYouLondon Glacier) a beautiful baby blue. But after three days the colour was fading and was the perfect moment to top it with some nail art. It took me around 10 minutes to do both my hands.
I used a "layered stamping technique". This technique consists in stamping the same image or different parts of the same image with different colours in a way they are superposed. If you take for instance the cupcake image, I first stamped the entire image in white, then I superposed only the base part in purple. I handpainted the small detail in yellow and red with a tiny brush.

Here is the material I used: MoYou London polish "Glacier"(baby blue), "Periwinkle"(light purple), "Bubblegum"(red), "Bahamas punch"(yellow), Stamping plates The Cookbook Collection 07, Pro Collection XL 29.

I really like how this manicure came out! After I snapped a few pics I thought I would try it with a mattifying topcoat to see if i liked it better. I'm not sure I do? The difference is very subtle, being mainly that the matte version doesn't shine back so that the designs show better under any lighting. But I think the colours are a little washed out? Which version do you prefer?

Don't forget to pay a visit to my challenge mates in the list below for more "sweets/fruits" nail art.

Have a lovely Weekend!

Love,
