Hello, lovelies!
Can you even believe March is coming to an end? Where did this month go? As every month, it is time for a new edition of my "shopping my stash" challenge!
I started this monthly challenge back in 2017, but it seems it is still a relevant thing to do! If you are in a "low buy", "no buy" and/or "shop your stash" project, you are of course invited to share your own experience! During the month of March I've been using an one of the most beautiful and useful palette by Chanel the lovely "Charming" quint, which is now discontinued, but the truth is I have completely forgotten about it until now, so it was a perfect candidate for my challenge.

Wardrobe staples│ Trench Coat, your ally this Spring
Mar 24, 2019
Hello, sweeties! Happy Sunday!
We are having such beautiful sunny weather! But during the Spring the weather is very unstable here in Switzerland. Rain can happen any minute, mornings are cold and the temperatures rise fast during the day. The best way to brave all those weather changes is having some versatile clothing in your wardrobe and layering them!!
When you have a long day ahead, the Trench Coat is a great ally! It is formal enough for a smart working outfit, but also suitable for a date, or a more casual look, even with jeans. It is one of those clothing staples so versatile during Spring. Today I share with you how I style my Trench coat for a date night after work. I hope you like it!

(Défilez vers le bas pour le Français)
Happy Monday, sweeties!
I took an involuntary break from blogging last week, as you could see I haven't posted since last Monday, except for a contribution article about skincare trends. I have been feeling terribly tired, I also caught some kind of flu, mixed with my spring allergies, but above all is this persistent fatigue that drains all my energy! What can I do? My hubby says I should call the doctor for a check up...
Today, finally, I have a new makeup look to show you. This week, the colours for the Monday Shadow Challenge are "Lapiz Blue" and "Coral", what a fine combo!! I took this occasion to sport one of my most belovedd and cherished lipsticks, the only highend colour I have used up and repurchased! Curious? Keep reading ;)
2019 Skincare trends you can't miss out on
Mar 13, 2019
Say goodbye to pastel shades and subtle lip-gloss for the spring of 2019, because bold and “out there” looks are taking over the beauty industry this season. Every chic, confident woman knows the importance of clear, supple, and youthful looking skin. Of course, with new brands popping up with all kinds of innovative products, it is no wonder that beauty enthusiasts have a hard time constantly chasing the newest, spiciest trends. Nevertheless, experts claim that this year will truly be revolutionary when it comes to achieving that „glow up“every young lady strives for. So, what exactly has the beauty industry have in store for us mere mortals? Here are some of the hottest skincare trends you definitely do not want to miss out on.

Achieve that goddess-like glow
Whether it is a cream, liquid or powder highlighter; a generous amount of gold-tinted glow on the cheekbones is a must for the spring of 2019. Artists such as Rihanna have launched lush products which draw out the glow from within and enhance the already radiant complexion. So, why would you miss out on this trend and not look like a goddess drenched in gold all year long? However, women who shy away from the bold look can easily go for a more subtle glimmer. By mixing a tad bit of liquid highlighter with your favourite foundation, you are able to sheer it out, whilst still looking dewy and hot. Naturally, make-up is not the only thing you should consider if you want radiant looking skin. Remember to make positive lifestyle changes, keep hydrated, have a balanced diet and get enough sleep.Painless surgical procedures
It is not a secret that no one likes looking older, which is why women (and men) spend a fortune yearly on different products claiming to erase pores and wrinkles, whilst the last option remains considering getting a surgical procedure. The very first step someone considering a surgical procedure should take is finding the right doctor. Most importantly, the doctor needs to be board-certified and experienced in the field. Unfortunately, not a lot of people are aware of the importance of taking extra precautions when choosing a professional. Luckily, people who are interested in soft-tissue injectables and anti-wrinkle treatments can consult with experts at Panthea clinic in Sydney or any other clinic close to them. Potential patients, usually young women, need to realize the degree of importance when it comes to consulting prior to the procedure itself. Always keep in mind to go the extra step and find the best clinic in your area! So, listen to your friends and family for recommendations, or read online reviews to help you choose a suitable option for you. When it comes to achieving a more youthful appearance, it is certain that filler injections are the way to go. Hyaluronic acid is ideal because it directly sinks into the skin via the injections thus moisturizing the skin from within.Bakuchiol
Rough retinol treatments get out of the way; bakuchiol is in the spotlight! This seemingly weirdly named ingredient is considered as the best natural alternative for retinol (and it has no side-effects). Bakuchiol is derived from the babchi plant famously used in Ayurvedic medicine, and it has a wide array of beneficial properties for overall skincare. Besides boosting collagen levels (collagen is a must for youthful looking skin!), it has been clinically proven to smooth out wrinkles and get rid of hyper-pigmentation. Indie brands and more commercial ones use this powerhouse ingredient in a lot of their products to combat aging and skin damage. In addition, overnight serums which mix bakuchiol with vitamin c are also available, so it is easy to wake up feeling refreshed and glowing.Hemp seed oil
One natural ingredient in particular, which sometimes gets a bad rep among people who fail to educate themselves on the matter, is the famous hemp seed oil. With the fitness and health community on the rise, it is no wonder that hemp crept its way into the clutches of the beauty industry this spring. As a matter of fact, tons of beauty gurus swear by this fatty acid-rich powerhouse traditionally used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine for centuries. Hemp oil, most commonly harvested by cold pressing the seeds is known for controlling oil production (so it is especially beneficial for oil-prone skin), reducing inflammation and hyper-pigmentation, and it is an effective way to combat the premature aging of the skin.Photo by Shifaaz shamoon on Unsplash |
Fake tan craze
Everyone looks better with a tan going on. End of the discussion. Not only does a slight tan give you a healthier appearance, but it can also visually make you look slimmer and glowing from within. Unfortunately, a natural sun-kissed tan does not last all year long, and it is gone in a matter of weeks after the holidays have passed. Nevertheless, the newest obsession every single beauty enthusiast cannot live without is a quality fake tan. So, instead of exposing yourself to the harmful UV rays of the sun, opt for a tanner with the most natural ingredients. Stay safe and glow all year round! The bottom line is, trends come and go, so it is left entirely up to you which one you like the best. Most importantly, do not forget to keep your head high this spring and slay the skincare game.

Makeup │ Monday Challenge: Green lipstick and Burgundy.
Mar 11, 2019
(Défilez vers le bas pour le Français)
Happy Monday, my lovelies!
I'm officially knackered, after having too much wine last night and a romantic evening with the hubby, I only got 4 hours of sleep and spent most of my Monday wandering around trying to remember "what was I going to do" and falling asleep in every corner! Definitely, this kind of things isn't for me anymore! LOL, I need my good night of sleep to be somewhat productive! What about you? what is your minimum required sleeping? Mine would be 5h30, anything under that and I'm a zombie!
As every Monday, I have a new makeup look to show you. This week, the Monday Shadow Challenge combines "Burgundy" and "Green", not to criticize the organizer of this challenge, but it seems to me we've been having Burgundy as a colour a little too often! I am not going to lie, I like a nice sexy burgundy lip in winter, but I've done this three times this year already! I wanted to change things up little and REALLY CHALLENGE MYSELF UP! So this time I created a look it's totally NOT MY STYLE. This is so out of my comfort zone I even hesitated to publish here, but HEY! What kind of challenge would that be if that was easy? So here it goes my look with GREEN LIPS! I hope you find it interesting!

Hello, my lovelies!
How has been your weekend so far? It's Carnival here in Biel, so yesterday we went to the children's parade. My children wanted to get dressed as Tangled and Batman respectively, which they did, but it was sooooo cold, windy and rainy, we ended covering them with jackets, beanies and scarves so that their costumes were barely visible, LOL. We froze our damp butts out watching the parade and rushed home as soon as it finished because the rain got more and more intense and we didn't have an umbrella!! Yes, I know, for a South American, a carnival with this weather is not precisely something to write home about! But we had fun, in a certain way, and drinking a hot chocolate when we got home never seemed more rewarding. What about your weekend?
It's time for nail art! Today's manicure features two beautiful polishes from recent OPI Collections and it is very feminine. I hope you like it!

Keep reading to find out how it went!

Happy Monday, my lovelies!
How was your weekend? Mine was rainy and quiet. I took the chance to relax and prepare some content for the blog. It's a good thing to take a break sometimes, don't you think?
As every Monday, I have a new makeup look to show you. This week, the Monday Shadow Challenge combines "Orange" and "blue" two very bright colours! This time I tried to create a glowy sunkissed look, with a little colour punch, that I find perfect for a beach vacation! It is also done with travel friendly products! I hope you like it.
Outfit of the day │ Romantic Blouse and Cosy Shawl for the Weekend
Mar 3, 2019
Hello, sweeties! Happy Sunday!
Finally, I came around to put together another outfit post for you. It's been a challenge for sure! We actually don't have time to set aside for doing proper "photo shootings"(we, meaning hubby "photographer" and me). But, somehow my fresh optimism thought we could just slip a couple of snaps into our normal life. You know, it is actually much harder than I would have imagined!
We will give it a try in a few days and see if we can manage to bring all our stuff with us. Yes, last time, we went out to take pics, only to find the camera memory card was missing and the battery was dying, LOL. Yeah, we need some fine tuning in the "planning section", haha.
Today I have a weekend casual comfy outfit, perfect for the strange transition weather we are having now. The winter is about to end, it's sunny, but still chilly at times for spring outfits. I hope you'll like it :)

It is time for a new edition of "When Colors Collide" nail art challenge, the colours proposed this week are "Chartreuse and brown" so this is what I came up with. I hope you like it!
