Hello, lovelies!
Can you even believe March is coming to an end? Where did this month go? As every month, it is time for a new edition of my "shopping my stashchallenge!
I started this monthly challenge back in 2017, but it seems it is still a relevant thing to do! If you are in a "low buy", "no buy" and/or "shop your stash" project, you are of course invited to share your own experience! During the month of March I've been using an one of the most beautiful and useful palette by
Chanel the lovely "Charming" quint, which is now discontinued, but the truth is I have completely forgotten about it until now, so it was a perfect candidate for my challenge.

I used to "COLLECT" makeup. I was a makeup collector. Now my approach to makeup changed and I find more pleasure to create looks than to own rare pieces. So, am I now a "makeup creator"? As my approach changes, I decided to write a series of posts that would allow me to commit to "Shopping my stash", which means going through products I own instead of buying new ones. I have decided that each month I would pick an eyeshadow quad or quint from my collection and use it during the whole month. The month of March 2019 I've been playing with my old quad Chanel Quint Eyeshadow "Charming" and today I share with you one of the looks I came up with.

Chanel Ombres matelassées "Charming"

The "Ombres Matelassées de Chanel" was a very limited edition with only a few variants across the history of Chanel, and the palette "Charming" was the edition issued in 2013. It contains 5 neutral colours with silky, satin finish powder shadows. The colours are two shades of beige (a lighter and a darker one) a shimmery bronzed brown, a warm medium brown and a deep brown with grey and purple undertones. The palette is the most versatile and very handy for everyday looks, but can also be used for creating sultry smokey looks like the one I present you here.

This is a palette of great quality that still delivers after all these years, it has an awesome pigmentation, but it is very easy to use and blend. So it is definitely a keeper and I will continue to cherish and use it!

As usual, I am not trying to encourage you to buy anything with this post, more trying to INSPIRE you to use more what you already have, buy less and even getting rid of some of your possesions!

My "Sultry Warm toned Makeup" Look

The month of March was filled with opportunities to wear the darkest colours in this palette which I have enjoyed a lot! But I've also used the lighter colours quite frequently for everyday looks. I will keep this quint and use it more often!

Do you have any item in your makeup stash that you've forgotten about and eventually decided to get rid of?

Don't hesitate to leave me a comment!

Love,
Nati
