Happy Friday, sweeties!
What a week that was! We are SO ready for the weekend! What about you? The sky promises to be clear blue for a few more days (rare thing around here) so the colour blue seems the most appropriate for my manicure today!
The"When Colors Collide" nail art challenge is doing "blue" nails this week and the "NAil Art Stamping sisterhood" prompted us to used the "smoosh" technique. So I combined the two prompts and got a manicure in different shades of blue, I really hope you like it!
I've been wearing this manicure for 8 days, and it still looks so awesome! Not a single chip or scratch! This is not what usually happens to my manicures, but I guess using the new OPI base coats is helping a lot making my manicure last longer. So I will be sharing my tips on basecoat with you very soon, would you like that?
Now, let's take a closer look to today's manicure shall we?
Here are the steps I followed to create this look:
1) I first painted four of my nails with a gorgeous sky blue colour from OPI, this is a pretty unique shade that belongs to The Nutcracker collection launched last Holidays. The fifth nail I painted it with two coats of the most gorgeous sparkling blue colour by Zoya.
2) I left one of my sky blue nails just plain, and added a little dot. On the three other nails I used the technique "Smoosh". I explain this technique here. it is a fast and easy technique that requires 3 or 4 different colours and which results in an interesting background.
3) Once my nails dried completely, I stamped some arabesques images with medium blue polish on top of the "smoosh" background.
4) Once everything was dry, I sealed my design with clear topcoat and tadaaa!

Have a lovely weekend!
Love,
Nati
