Hello, my lovelies! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I am super excited today, not only because it is Halloween but because  I have The Nutcracker and the four Realms Collection by OPI* for Holidays 2018 swatches to share with you!! This gorgeous collection inspired by the new Disney film "The Nutcracker and the four Realms" (an adaptation of the famous ballet) which will be realeasing world wide tomorrow! Keep reading to find out what each colour looks like on the nails and what was my experience applying and wearing these twelve new nail polishes. ♥♥♥ While looking forward to this new Disney movie painting my nails I wish you a very happy Halloween!

The  Nutcracker and the four Realms Collection by OPI consists of twelve colour of nail polish, seven creme shades with an exceptionally glossy finish, three amazing shimmer shades, one metallic gold and one astonishing holographic glitter!

"Inspired by the film adaptation of the classic ballet, The Nutcracker and Four Realms Collection consists of 12 new colors and three glitters in Nail Lacquer, Infinite Shine and GelColor formulations – and a first for OPI’s Infinite Shine glitter hues. Starting with sweet sugar plum inspired shades, the collection includes deep red Candied Kingdom, fuchsia Toying with Trouble, and a gold foil wrapping Dazzling Dew Drop. Delicate floral hues in emerald green Envy the Adventure and purple Lavendare to Find Courage and Berry Fairy Fun offer contrast to rich, vintage carnival meets heroine soldier-inspired colors like maroon Ginger’s Revenge, dark black shimmer Black to Reality and navy March in Uniform. Soft glacier blue Dreams Need Clarafication, pearlescent silver-white Tinker, Thinker, Winker? And shimmering snowflake white Dancing Keeps Me on my Toes evoke a winter wonderland."

"In addition to the 12 color collection, The Nutcracker and Four Realms Collection includes three glitter shades. Three shades in gold Gold Key to the Kingdom, silver Dreams on a Silver Platter and rose gold I Pull the Strings can be worn alone or layered on top of a color for a multidimensional look. “This collection has something for everyone from light, wintry shades to rich, moody colors,” states."

I have kindly been gifted the 12 colours of this collection by the brand distributor (thank you!!). Unfortunately, I don't have the three special glitter colours to show you (yet) I might get those on a shopping spree though, because I love some glitter for my Holiday's looks so stay tuned for that!

The twelve shades of this collection are available in three formulas: Regular OPI Nail Polish (with black cap), the longlasting Infinite Shine Formula (with Silver cap), and the GelColor formula. I have swatched the twelve colours in the Infinite Shine formulation. Read about the application experience and quality of the formulation in general further below.

Let's start with the swatches, shall we?  I'm showing you all the swatches with two coats of colour  and without topcoat. Please, remember you can click on the pics to enlarge them:)

"Dancing Keeps Me on my Toes" Waltz among magical snowflakes on your way to the ballet.

A beautiful snowflake white colour with some really tiny sparkling shimmer that gives this colour so much shine! This is a classic shade for winter and one that will compliment any outfit too.

Tinker, Thinker, Winker? In this land of ice and snow, the light twinkles and glows.

Oh my WORD, this silver colour is so perfect! It is a very fine glittery with rainbow reflections! What we call a "holo-polish", holo being short for "holographic". I love this kind of polishes and OPI does not do them frequently, but I should say this is a very good one! It takes three coats to look opaque, but that makes it perfect to be added on top of any colour to pimp your style!

Dreams Need Clara-fication  Get cozy in a charming village perched on the edge of a glacier.

This is the most beautiful glacier blue ever! I own a very large collection of nail polishes (of several brands) and this blue is pretty unique! I love it to pieces, I think it is sweet without it being pastel, it will be awesome for creating winter nail art too.
This colour recalls the main caracter of the Disney film "Clara", so if you are a Disney fan, there is another reason why you can't miss it.

March in Uniform When surrounded by menacing mice, follow the young man in uniform.

What can I say, this blue is the EPITHOME of chicness. If you were planning to be the chicest for the Holidays Season, this is the colour you need. It would look good on every skin tone, it is dark but not so much that it would look black. In dact it looks blue on every lighting situatuion! It is super glossy and will compliment every outfit!

Dazzling Dew Drop  You’ll get a glint in your eye when you see these delicious digs.

This is a beautiful warm toned metallic gold that sparkles even with very dimmed light! I don't usually wear all gold nails, but for me gold is mandatory for a proper Christmass nail art! You need red, green and GOLD! Of course this collection has the three of them ;)

Envy the Adventure A land of blooms must be grounded in green.

Another beautiful green by OPI! This emerald green is perfect for a standout look! It is sooooo glossy! It would look amazing combined with other colours of this collection for nail art too.

Lavendare to Find Courage Open your heart – like a blooming flower – to the many hues around.

I must admit lavender is not your usual go-to colour for the holidays, but this one evokes the colours of one the Disney Film's character and I find it beautiful! So femenine and sweet.

Berry Fairy Fun Pause, take a deep breath and smell the flowers.

This colour is simply unique! Such a beautifully bright magenta-berry colour has blue shimmer particles in it that give it that lovely blue flash when the light reflects on it! If you want a special touch on your nails this winter, this is the colour you need!

Toying with Trouble The delicacies decorating the sweet surroundings will make you blush.

This lovely hotpink is a staple if you, like me, will be heading to the Southern Hemisphere for the Holidays. But even if you don't this lovely bright colour will  definitely cheer up the darkest and glomiest of winters!

Candied Kingdom Some candy, you’ll find, can be rather hot and spicy.

Ok, this colour looks on my pictures slightly brighter than it is in real life. A lovely candy red, a classic for an elegant look but with a bit of "peps" this Holidays!

Ginger’s Revenge The tyrant of the Fourth Realm will have you seeing red.
Another super chic color, this maroon red would compliment every skin tone and look always elegant! There is no season for such a colour, in my opinion.

Black to Reality Beware! The forest is dark, thick, foreboding – and absolutely exhilarating.

This black shade with deep red shimmer in it is so intriguing and sexy! If you want dark nails but not black this winter, this is the way to go!

The polishes were a dream to apply as usual, they all were smooth, fully opaque in two coats (except the silcer colour which needed three), ultra-glossy without topcoat. I had no difficulties at all, there is a great consistency in the formulation, as all the colours application is very similar. The metallic gold and the white needed a bit more care as the brush strokes really show, but that is a normal thing for this type of colours.

All in all, this is a magical collection! There is something for every taste and no room for dullness! My absolute favourites are the Light blue, the silver, the Blue and the darkest one with red shimmer. What about you? What is your favourite here??

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Collection by OPI is already available in classic Nail Lacquer, Infinite Shine and GelColor formulas for 3 months at least. There are also a few Gift set that I find absolutely adorable as Holiday gifts!
