Here I am again on a Thursday instead of a Friday, because tomorrow it's my eldest's birthday! Yes, my sweet boy is turning 8 and this mum can't even believe it yet! I'm currently in the making of his cake and thought to keep this post short and sweet so I can go back to the preparatives for his party tomorrow.

Today I have a new manicure to share with you! I've been playing with the new OPI Mexico City Collection for Spring Summer 2020 and I came up with a couple of new nail arts! Today I show you my manicure with Cherry blossoms, I hope you like it!

I'm posting on a Thursday rather than a Friday, because tomorrow as it is Valentine's Day and the hubby and I have plans of spending the afternoon, evening and night in a romantic escapade! We are not going far, in fact just a few kilometres from home, but enough to forget the daily routine and have some time for our couple. I'm so excited about it!!

Are you planning anything for Valentine's day? I know a lot of people don't care for this holiday in Europe, even us when we were younger we did not pay much attention to it. But after 22 years together (of which 16 years of marriage), you definitely need to seize every occasion to escape the routine, if you know what I mean!

I have no idea what I will wear tomorrow or what I'll pack in my bag, I'm not too worried about it, haha, but I definitely know what I will wear on my nails! LOL! It is a bank holiday here in Switzerland, so we are enjoying a long weekend! What about you? Is it a bank holiday where you live?
We've spent a lovely but rainy weekend, we could share a moment with friends and family and it was awesome! We attended a lunch party in honour of my Godson who already got his Confirmation and it was amazing, it was emotional, fun and we had the most delicious food, as always the best time, whatever the weather, with our dear friends.
Today, I would like to share with you a nail design I created for the "When Colors Collide" nail art challenge.  This week's challenge was about the colours nude and gold, such a lovely combo! I think nude and gold manicures are perfect for the season. Check out what I've created with these colours!

Last week, I was feeling ill, so I didn't do new nail art designs, obviously, there wasn't a Nail Art post either! But the "When Colors Collide" nail art challenge was doing "mint, black and white" nails which is such a beautiful combination that I couldn't skip it. I'm currently in Rome for a Short Spring Break with my family, So far things aren't happening exactly as planned, my son caught some stomach bug and he's been sick all day. Hubby hit the pharmacy and got some medicine for our son's tummy, fingers crossed he'll be feeling better tomorrow! You see this trip was a present for our son, we actually came all the way here to see a football game tomorrow, we have tickets to the stadium to support my son's favourite team, so it will be really not cool if he couldn't attend! Please, keep your fingers crossed for him getting well soon!!

I hope you are all doing fine. I had a very busy week so I couldn't prepare a new manicure for you this time. However, I thought to put together a post featuring 10 nail art ideas in Pastel colors! Normally, I don't care much about pastel colours, I'm more of a vibrant colours kind of girl, however, I do like some pastel looks, especially in Spring and especially for Easter! What a week that was! We are SO ready for the weekend! What about you? The sky promises to be clear blue for a few more days (rare thing around here) so the colour blue seems the most appropriate for my manicure today!
The"When Colors Collide" nail art challenge is doing "blue" nails this week and the "NAil Art Stamping sisterhood" prompted us to used the "smoosh" technique. So I combined the two prompts and got a manicure in different shades of blue, I really hope you like it!

What a beautiful sunny day we are having today! We've been out and about with the children enjoying the sun I hope you are enjoying it too.
The first week of Spring is usually as disappointing as very much attended. But this year, it seems the nice sunny weather is right on time with the season changing! Today I went out and had a walk without a jacket!! It was sooooo nice.

How has been your weekend so far? It's Carnival here in Biel, so yesterday we went to the children's parade. My children wanted to get dressed as Tangled and Batman respectively, which they did, but it was sooooo cold, windy and rainy, we ended covering them with jackets, beanies and scarves so that their costumes were barely visible, LOL. We froze our damp butts out watching the parade and rushed home as soon as it finished because the rain got more and more intense and we didn't have an umbrella!! Yes, I know, for a South American, a carnival with this weather is not precisely something to write home about! But we had fun, in a certain way, and drinking a hot chocolate when we got home never seemed more rewarding. What about your weekend?

A great weekend ahead! Today is date night with hubby, we will go out for dinner and then we have tickets for the theatre! YAY!!
Tomorrow we'll host my boy's 7th birthday party, we have 14 guests (children), so, while I'm writing this, the first layer of my cake is in the oven, and the second in the mixer, haha. I hope I won't screw things up, multitasking is really not my thing. I'm so over Valentine's day right now, that I thought to do something in totally different colours, so I used a beautiful light blue and a deep plummy purple. I hope you like it!

Valentine's day is approaching fast and it is a good moment to start thinking if you'd like to sport a manicure according to the date! How has your weekend been so far? We are spending it indoors, mostly because everyone (except me!) is feeling under the weather, coughing and sneezing. The snowy and rainy weather outside don't call us to do any outdoor activity today, so I'm blogging and cooking while the hubby and the children are binge-playing board games. Not bad for a winter weekend!

Let's talk about nail art now! "When Colors Collide" nail art challenge this week inited us to create manicures in "dark blue, copper and white" and only these colours. I really like the combination between dark blue and copper, I just had to come up with an idea to include white in the mix, so I decided to do an accent nail on my ring finger with a marble design.
