Nail Art │ Red nails and Gingerbread Men
Nov 30, 2018
Happy Friday, lovelies!
I hope you all had a nice week. I'm rushing to write this post and show you my latest manicure for the Nail Crazies Unite, because I have tickets to take the children to the cinema. I'm so excited! We are going to see The Grinch, I'm sure it will be so much fun. What are your plans for the weekend?
Let's get into this week's nail art, shall we? The "Nail Crazies Unite" nail art Challenge prompted us to create "Christmas food/drink" themed manicures, so I created this design using red polish and gingerbread men stamping images! I hope you like it!
Empties │ The products I've used up recently vol. XXXIV [Body care]
Nov 28, 2018
Hello, sweeties!
Can you believe November is almost over? Well, neither can I! Last month I skipped to show you my finished products, so this time I got quite a few... rather a LOT. I decided I'm splitting them by category and showing you today only the Body Care ones, so I don't bore you to death. There are a few very interesting products, especially moisturizers for dry skin! Ideal for the cold weather we are having. So keep reading to find out which of those I've liked and repurchase and which of them are a pass!

Hello, lovelies! Happy Monday!
How was your weekend? Have you shopped during "Black Friday"? I have made a couple of great deals, but honestly, I have shopped very wisely and have not bought anything impulsively. Which is so unlike me! I used to be the kind of person to fall for an offer just because "it was an incredible price" but I no longer fall in that kind of trick. I had a list of stuff that my family and I were needing for a while, but we have been putting off the purchases to buy them with discounts. I did not buy anything that wasn't on my original list, I am so proud! Especially because this year I've been bombarded with Black Friday, Cyber Weekend, CyberMonday offers like never before! I mucst have got around 200 emails, without counting the ads on social media, regular media, in the street, it was real marketing madness!! I must say I got just a little bit disgusted by it all.
Seeing the overwhelming amount of imperatives to buy new stuff, I felt the urge to show some love to my old makeup pieces. So it's time to share with you a new edition of my "shopping my stash" challenge. I've been using my very old and beloved Chanel "Ombres Perlées de Chanel", a quint with the most intriguing pearlescent shades for sexy, yet elegant eye looks. I hope you like it.

Nail art │ No-Shave November Nail Design. Raising Male Cancer Awareness.
Nov 24, 2018
Hello, sweeties! Happy Weekend!
I hope you all had a great week and that you're planning and even better weekend! We'll be celebrating hubby's birthday this evening (in fact his b-day was last Wednesday). But this evening he'll take us to one of the best Swiss restaurants, where the Michelin starred Chef Soldati prepares the most delicious gastronomic versions of traditional Swiss cuisine!! I can't tell you how excited I am, but I'm not the only one, everyone in our family is a foodie, and my children keep asking me (ever hour or so for the past three days...) "when we go to the restaurant!?" LOL.
Today the "Nail Stamping Sisterhood" Facebook Group proposed us to make a manicure with a "No Shave November"to raise awareness on male cancer. If you didn't know about this, please visit the web https://no-shave.org/ !! The "Mo-vember" consists in male growing a moustache or a beard, to raise awareness on prostate cancer or other types of male cancer. This is obviously not a "male-only" matter, and we at the nail art group, as most of us can't grow a moustache (lol) we show solidarity and help raise awareness with our nail art! I hope you like it!!
Seasonal Hair Loss. How to win the battle.
Nov 22, 2018
Do you suffer from reactive hair loss? Fall started and the trees are not the only thing shedding? I hear you. Since the mild temperatures ended in October I have been suffering an important hair loss with no other apparent reason for me. Why? I've been digging in the reasons for hair loss, and "Hair starts imitating tree leaves, hence they fall in Autumn" does not appear on the list. So why I'm suddenly losing so much hair? And what do I do about it?
There are many reasons for hair loss in women, it is important that you identify the cause and then you can fight back! Keep reading to learn what are the possible causes and also what to do to revert that hair loss.

Hello, sweeties! Happy Tuesday!!
We had the first snowfall here yesterday, nothing major, just a few magical snowflakes that kept falling the whole afternoon, like announcing winter is here. Do you like winter? I am a bit divided about it. I like cooler temperatures, but not freezing ones. I like to watch by the window the snow quietly falling, but not having to shovel it in the morning!! lol Luckily I don't have to, that's what I love of living downtown in an appartment ;) ;) ;) Does it snow where you live?
Today, it's time for a new edition of the "Monday Shadow Challenge"! (Yes, I know, one day too late, oops!). We were prompted to create a makeup look with "Royal blue" and "purple" colours, two quite intense hues! I prepared a bold and sassy makeup with the Norvina and Masquerade palettes, I know the result is quite "in your face", but I hope you like it.
Nail art │ Fall Foliage Manicure in Red Hues
Nov 18, 2018
Hello, lovelies! How are you today? I hope you had a great weekend, mine was quite nice!
Friday night hubby and I went to the theatre to see a very original play based on a comic novella by Georges Perec, written in 1966: "Which Moped with Chrome-plated Handlebars at the Back of the Yard?". We had a good time! It was hilarious and enriching, a neat little masterpiece of word-play, so sparkling of humour and nonsense, mixing the everyday life of the Paris of the day and the literary legacy of the moment. Something totally unprecedentedthat leaves no trace, no moral, written for the pleasure of writing. I am reading the novel now and if you know French I suggest you read the original as well.
Now, it's time for a new manicure! The "Nail Crazies Unite" nail art Challenge prompted us to create "Foliage" themed manicures, so I created this design using red and gold hues. I hope you like it!

Makeup │ Burnt Orange Look for the Sign of Scorpio [Zodiac Makeup Challenge]
Nov 12, 2018
Happy Monday, sweeties!
How are you today? How was your weekend? Life is sweet as it can be these days for me! We had a busy Saturday (as usual) but then we had the occasion to enjoy our Sunday with our dear friends and there is no price to that! Everyone was visibly excited since the morning, the children were singing and waiting for our guests, the kind of thing that never fails to put a smile in my face. As usual time passes way too quickly when you're enjoying it, but I hope we'll get another occasion to meet soon!
Do you see your friends often? Do they live close? Do they have busy lives? two jobs ? half a dozen of children? Our stressing lives can sometimes get in the way between us and our beloved friends, does this happen to you too? I'd love to know!
Today, it's time for a new Zodiac inspired makeup. This year, I decided to use more, in new creative ways, the makeup I own instead of buying new items. That is why I challenged myself to create twelve different looks with the BHCosmetics Zodiac palette, one for each sign. Today, I created a Scorpio look for the "Zodiac challenge".
The intense burnt orange colour for "Scorpio" in this palette is so gorgeous and bold that it inspired me to do a look all in orange, with different shades of this colour. I hope you like it!

Hello, lovelies! Happy weekend!
I hope you are having/planning a great one. Last night we went to Bern, the capital of Switzerland, to enjoy a light show they make every year called "Rendez-vous Bundesplatz" (check my Instagram Story for a glimpse!). This lovely event takes place in the "Federal Square", where a light and music show is projected on the facade of the Federal Palace. This year the theme was "The little prince"! My all time favourite book! (I have already talked about how much I love this book here.) So we packed our dinner, rush to the train with our two little ones, who were super excited to have a "train pic-nic" LOL. Children were so happy, it was really nice and we had much fun! My girl (3) didn't catch much of the story, my boy (6) thought the story is not a good one because it is too sad. We came back home and both of them were super interested in knowing more about the story, so we added "The Little Prince" to our reading appointments before bed.
I don't think I'll be able to explain to which point this experience has been satisfying for me. I went to bed thinking "one of my dreams is being accomplished". While reading The little Prince many years ago, I couldn't help to hope one day I'll be able to transmit the wisdom enclosed in those pages to my children. If I eventually had children. All the pieces of that puzzle are coming together now, and when my children will be old enough to understand that "what is essential is invisible to the eyes" this will be an accomplished mama.
Well, let's get to the nail art part now! Today's challenge for the "When Colors Collide" Facebook group consists in using "Blue, Black and silver" colours to create a nail design. This is what I came up with, I hope you like it!

Makeup │ Fenty Beauty Uncensored Lipstick. Look for the Holiday Season.
Nov 6, 2018
Hello, sweeties! How are you?
It's been one year since Fenty Beauty, the makeup line by the famous pop star Rihana, was launched and I had never indulged in anything from this brand. A couple of weeks ago we took a short vacation in France, and you know vacation rhymes with shopping ;) So I finally decided to pick one product from her beauty line. I chose this beautiful red liquid lipstick named "Uncensored" because it has so many great reviews and, no matter how large your makeup collection/stash s, there is always room for a new red lippy, right?
Today's edition of the "Monday Shadow Challenge" using the colours "Gold and Red" seemed the perfect occasion to propose a makeup look featuring the Fenty Beauty "Uncensored" lipstick. Those colours would be appropriate for a Holidays/Christmas look! I hope you like it.
Nail art │ Plaid Pattern Manicure in Blue, Lavender and Gold
Nov 2, 2018
Hello, lovelies! Happy Friday!
Ihope you had a great week, mine was awesome but very busy. In fact, hubby was away for business trip, so I had a little more to do than usual, but to be honest, our kids behave much better when they know I'm alone! haha, they make it a point to help mommy while dad is away. I'm curious, do your kids do the same? I mean, are they more prone to help out when one of the parents is away?
Now, it's time for a new manicure! The "Nail Crazies Unite" nail art Challenge prompted us to create "Plaid" themed manicures, so I created this design using the new colours from the OPI holiday Collection 2018.
