Doing your gel nails at home

With the growing popularity of the gel nail polishes, more and more people are opting for doing their nails at home rather than going to the salon. The new generation of Gel nail polish allows for an incredible ease of application, and doesn't require a great skill acquisition other than correctly priming your nails and applying carefully, as you would do with regular polish.Depending on which country you live in, the costs of a nail salon can be very high, and this is one of the reasons to own a good quality and efficient UV/LEd nail lamp at home.I have thought that owning a small portable lamp would be enough for me, and I have several none of which rises beyond 24W, which is nice to have, but it actually takes me too long to cure my nails and even more when the polish is thick. That is why I find it practical to have a professional lamp at home!

My experience with the Eos 3 lamp

You know what I think about gel nails at home: if you are capable of doing your own nails and you're passionate about it, GO FOR IT!! Otherwise, let the pro do the job. This review is adressed to both, people who do nails at home and need more information about getting a good and affordable lamp, and professionals that need trustworthy tools!
I have LOVED using this lamp and that is definitely replacing the lamps I've been using so far.

Easy to use
You can start using it as soon as you receive it, by plugging it with the provided adapter. It is user-friendly, the buttons are properly labelled and the electronic display allows you to have control of the curing time always. The automatic sensor is definitely a must for me, it allows to avoid energy waste by turning on the lights when you put your hand in the cabin and automatically turning them off when you remove your hand! No need to think or touch no buttons!

Fast
48W is the maximum power and this lamp is very efficient! I cured most of my gels with 30 seconds timer.

Portable
Although it is bulkier than my pocket UV lamps, it is definitely lightweight and easily portable!

Comfortable to use
It has a detachable bottom that allows for more room and it is ideal to do gel pedicures! Also, the bottom has ergonomic shape to allow you to place both your hands correctly, avoiding to bump your nails against it, especially if you have very long nails.
The shape of the cabin makes it very pleasant as the light does not reflect outside a lot!

Low Heat mode
To reduce uncomfort some people feel with high power LED cabins, the low heat mode is definitely a must if you use the cabin professionally!

Customer Service

The lamp comes with an User manual and the Social media card of the brand, so you have plenty of ways to contact them! The Lamp comes with a 6 month warranty on quality related issues! You can extend the warranty by registering on their website and also acces the User manual in other languages.

My Experience with the UV Shield Gloves

I don't do my gel nails very frequently, but I would like to! So, to be honest, I was a little concerned that the UV rays would not be totally healthy for my skin, so I thought a pair of gloves would be a nice idea. Well, I was wrong it is not just a "nice" idea, it is a GREAT idea, and now, I don't want EVER to do my manicures without these gloves! Especially when using a 48W power lamp! There is less risk with lower power.

I would recommend getting a pair of gloves for yourself, whether you do your nails at home or your go to the salon. If the salon does not provide gloves, you take your own with you, because: "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"!

Bottom line

The Eos 3 lamp has definitely gained its place among my favourite nail lamps, it is fast and powerful and since I got my UV shield gloves I no longer put off doing gel nails at home! I would gladly recommend this lamp to my friends, as it is a great value for the price.

Do you do gel nails at home? Do you have a friend who does? Do you have questions about this product? Please, do not hesitate to leave me a comment!

Love,
Nati
