Hello, lovelies! Happy weekend!
I hope you are having/planning a great one. Last night we went to Bern, the capital of Switzerland, to enjoy a light show they make every year called "Rendez-vous Bundesplatz" (check my Instagram Story for a glimpse!). This lovely event takes place in the "Federal Square", where a light and music show is projected on the facade of the Federal Palace. This year the theme was "The little prince"! My all time favourite book! (I have already talked about how much I love this book here.) So we packed our dinner, rush to the train with our two little ones, who were super excited to have a "train pic-nic" LOL. Children were so happy, it was really nice and we had much fun! My girl (3) didn't catch much of the story, my boy (6) thought the story is not a good one because it is too sad. We came back home and both of them were super interested in knowing more about the story, so we added "The Little Prince" to our reading appointments before bed.
I don't think I'll be able to explain to which point this experience has been satisfying for me. I went to bed thinking "one of my dreams is being accomplished". While reading The little Prince many years ago, I couldn't help to hope one day I'll be able to transmit the wisdom enclosed in those pages to my children. If I eventually had children. All the pieces of that puzzle are coming together now, and when my children will be old enough to understand that "what is essential is invisible to the eyes" this will be an accomplished mama.
Well, let's get to the nail art part now! Today's challenge for the "When Colors Collide" Facebook group consists in using "Blue, Black and silver" colours to create a nail design. This is what I came up with, I hope you like it!
Creating this manicure was super easy!! I did a simple stamping and all you need is blue, black, silver nail polish, a stamping plate, a stamper and scraper.
1) I started painting my nails with two coats of blue nail polish, from the recently launched OPI The Nutcracker collection
2) On three nails I stamped starry sky design using silver polished, and I filled in a part of the design with black polish.
3) I then cover the stamped nails with a mattifying topcoat, I added a silver holo polish to my pinkie nail and left one of my nails glossy blue.
These are the products and Items I used:
- OPI The Nutcracker collection "March in Uniform" (blue)
- OPI The Nutcracker collection "Tinker, Thinker, Winker?" (silver holo))
- MoYou London "Silver Dust" (silver stamping polish)
- MoYou London "Black knight" (black stamping polish)
- Beauty Bigbang Peel-off Cuticle Protector
- MoYou London Stamping plate Scandi Collection #09
- Beautybigbangs stamper and scraper
- Beautybigbangs mattifying Topcoat
I hope you've liked my Starry night nail art. Don't forget to pay a visit to my challenge mates for more blue/black/silver manicures! You can find their creations on the Facebook Grooup!
Have a lovely weeekend!
Love,
Nati
