Makeup │ Transitioning Your Makeup From Summer To Fall
Hello, lovelies!
It's been raining, the temperatures have decreased and I can smell Fall in the Air!! Who else out there has a preference for the autumnal season? Well, I know, most people prefer Summer or Spring, I can see why, but for me, there is nothing like Fall. It is more than just the warm golds, oranges and browns of the landscape, it is full of meaning to me. Nature starts to prepare for what will come (rougher times). In fact, when you stop to think about it, Fall reminds us that there is no change without a period of transition and preparation. Nothing happens so abruptly that there are no signs prior to it, we are just maybe not paying attention to those signs, but change is never a surprise. Well, of course, sometimes it is to us, but only when we were incapable of perceiving the signs! Watching around us seems like an obvious thing to do, but we are all so preoccupied with our everyday tasks that sometimes the simplest things are imperceptible to us.

When Fall approaches and as I get ready to enjoy the colourful show that nature throws for us, I like to change to incorporate more "Fall" like colours into my life, maybe in my home decoration, my wardrobe and of course my makeup! Do you do the same? It is fun! But it is even more fun to do so without breaking the bank and using what you already have at home.
Today I'd like to share with you a new edition of my "shopping my stash" challenge with colours that remind me of Fall but that are also vivid and suitable for Summer, as a transition between these two. This month I've been playing with Dior 5 Couleurs #634 Golden Flower, which I think is perfect for this period of change :)

We had a rather chilly weekend, there is no doubt the Fall is near! It's my favourite season, I love the weather and the colours so much! Sometimes I think I would love to visit all the places in the World where Fall is really special and magical. Are you excited that Fall is almost here?
Let's get into makeup! A few days ago I introduced to you the new releases from Wetnwild for Fall and today I'll be using some for this makeup. The colours for the Monday Shadow Challenge are "Forest green" and "Champagne" and here is what I came up with. I hope you like it :)

I'm a little late sharing my manicure this week, as I usually post early on Friday or Saturday, but I decided to take it easy this weekend. What was right on time was my menstrual cramps and I am feeling a little tired, hence my delay posting. I didn't want to miss this appointment for the "Nail Crazies Unite" nail art Challenge because this week's theme is Superheroes/Villains nails!! I SO SO WANTED TO DO A WONDER WOMAN NAIL ART!!
In reality I had something more intricated in mind that involved freehand painting, but given the fact that I was feeling under the weather, I did a simpler version. This is how my nails turned out!

Today I have a new nail art design and a new nail art review to share with you. I prepared a Mermaid manicure to share with you and for creating it I used some really lovely nail art goodies from BeautyBigBang store*. I got a new Silicon Mat, some nail decorations and a stamping plate!

Right now, at this very moment, I'm at the Gym working out!! WHAT?? Yes, yes, I'm not a sports girl, I like swimming a lot but other than that, sports and me don't get along. Well, a few (10) years ago I stopped swimming because I developped an allergy to the chemicals that are normally put in swimming pools, it was painful and awful and I had to give up. In the meantime, I overcome several hormonal treatments, I have been pregnant twice and my body has got bigger, heavier and weaker. So it was time for me to do something about it! I trully hate fitness workout, I find it totally boring, but I really need it to reactivate my muscles before I can do any other fun sports or group classes and this is the only safe way to do so. By working out in getting stronger, I've lost 10 pounds! I am feeling so much better! What about you? Have you ever neglected your body or your workouts?
Now, it's time for makeup! Today's colours for the Monday Shadow Challenge are "Light Pink" and "Copper", you can be sure to keep seeing my "Norvina" palette again and again because I'm so in love with it!! I hope you'll like the look I've created this time :)

I hope you all had a great week and that you're planning and even better weekend! We will try to hit the Open Air Cinema this evening, with the kids. They are showing "The Incredibles II" and my children would love to watch it! The thing is, the show starts at 8:45 PM and I don't think my children will stay awake that late. The reason being it needs to be really dark for the movie to show properly outdoors. Do you like open-air cinemas?
Today the "26 Great Nail art Ideas Challenge" proposed us to make a manicure with a "silhouette scene". This is normally the manicure you'll sponge a sunset and place the silhouette of some palm trees on top. I have done that in the past here, so I thought to do a different thing this time, can you guess what it represents?

What a beautiful and moving morning today! It is back to school here and my boy starts 1st Grade today! Children could go with their parents for the first day and stay for the first lesson. The 1st grade was the last to enter the school building this morning, the little ones were welcomed with big applause from all students and teachers of the other grades who stood to either side of the aisles. It was such an intense moment, I was so moved. I almost cried, but I held myself together and didn't ;) It was so beautiful to feel that the little ones were not ignored in such important day, that they were entering that building where they'll spend most of their lives for the next 8 years, that everyone was aware of that and they were welcoming and showing support. Whoever came up with this tradition it's genius, I already love this school!
Now, it's time for makeup! I'm very excited today as I have received my Anastasia Beverly Hill Norvina palette last week and couldn't wait to show it to you! It is the perfect choice for this week's Monday Shadow Challenge because the colours are "Purple" and "Rose Gold", two beautiful hues contained in this palette. I've created a coloured smokey look with a summer vibe and I really hope you'll like it :)

Hello, sweeties! How are you?
Today we have another appointment for the "Nail Crazies Unite" nail art Challenge! This week's theme is Blue and White Nautical nails. This is also the first time I don't have a new nail art to share with you. Oh, noes! Well, you know, I love painting nail art, but this week was almost impossible. I had so many random things to do and prepare, my children are still on school break, which means my mornings are super short! I've also recently started a healthier lifestyle, which consists of exercising more. I feel wonderful this way, but it is also more time consuming of course. Not to mention that next Monday is back to school for my boy, so there were a few things to get back on track as well. That's why I didn't have the energy to do my nails last week.
Oh well, you know I always manage to paint my nails, regardless of all my activities, but it is always a chill out moment to me and if I had to do so in stress and a forceful way, I felt it made absolutely no sense. So I decided that for today's challenge I was going to repropose to you a nail art I've done in the past, which is blue and white and nautical too! I hope you'll like it :)

As I was on vacation at the end of July and beginning of August, I couldn't show you my empty products of the month. This time they are very few! That is not weird considering whenever I leave on vacation I usually leave at home the products I am currently using, so I cannot finish them and I buy new products at my destination that I use during vacation but I don't always finish them up, haha, so I suppose next month I'll have a lot of empty ones :)

I'm back home after spending two wonderful weeks in Italy, with family, friends good food and nice beaches. We stayed the first week in the countryside, at a 10-minute drive from the sea. The second week we stayed in a little coast city called Alba Adriatica, at the wonderful Eden Hotel. We enjoyed the sea, the swimming pools and the delicious Mediterranean food of the Hotel Restaurant. One whole week without cooking, washing up, not even making the bed! It was Paradise! haha. Now, back to reality and the usual routine, I'm already done with the laundry, but I still have to iron (seriously who even invented the concept of ironing?!) which will be postponed until the temperatures go down a little bit ;)
This Monday needs some makeup fun more than ever, so to cheer us up, the Monday Shadow Challenge proposed us to use "Anise Green" and "Teal" in our makeup looks. So, I've created a luminous and fun summer look that I hope you'll like :)
