Makeup │ Burnt Orange Look for the Sign of Scorpio [Zodiac Makeup Challenge]

Happy Monday, sweeties!
How are you today? How was your weekend? Life is sweet as it can be these days for me! We had a busy Saturday (as usual) but then we had the occasion to enjoy our Sunday with our dear friends and there is no price to that! Everyone was visibly excited since the morning, the children were singing and waiting for our guests, the kind of thing that never fails to put a smile in my face. As usual time passes way too quickly when you're enjoying it, but I hope we'll get another occasion to meet soon!
Do you  see your friends often? Do they live close? Do they have busy lives? two jobs ? half a dozen of children? Our stressing lives can sometimes get in the way between us and our beloved friends, does this happen to you too? I'd love to know!

Today, it's time for a new Zodiac inspired makeup. This year, I decided to use more, in new creative ways, the makeup I own instead of buying new items. That is why I challenged myself to create twelve different looks with the BHCosmetics Zodiac palette, one for each sign. Today, I created a Scorpio look for the "Zodiac challenge".
The intense burnt orange colour for "Scorpio" in this palette is so gorgeous and bold that it inspired me to do a look all in orange, with different shades of this colour. I hope you like it!

I want to state clearly that I don't really care for horoscope or Zodiac signs in general, and I don't know much about it, I just know that each sign roughly corresponds to a month of the year, and as there are twelve of them I thought it would be nice to make it a challenge to present you one new look each month. Scorpio sign starts on October 23rd through November 22nd, that's about all I know ;)

In the gorgeous BH Cosmetics Zodiac palette, the colours that correspond to Scorpio are deep matte terracotta (almost "brick" red). The other Scorpio colour is a foil baked shadow in rich burnt orange colour, which is so flattering on every skin tone!!! I decided to use both, but I also added another two colour from the palette to create a more interesting look. I hope you like the makeup I came up with ♥

Mauve and Magenta for a "Scorpio" look

For this look I used:

Face/ Visage:
- Wetnwild Photofocus concealer in Light Ivory
- Wetnwild Photofocus Foundation in Golden Beige AND Soft Ivory (I mix two colours as my skin gets paler in the cold season!)
 - Makeup Forever HD powder
Givenchy Croisière Healthy Glow Powder #2Douce Croisière
-NYX Professional Makeup Machinist Highlighter Duo

Eyes/Yeux:
- Urban Decay Primer Potion Anti-Age
BH Cosmetics Zodiac palette
Gabriella Salvete Automatic eyeliner (plum)
- Essence Super Precise eyeliner longlasting + waterproof
Gabriella Salvete Panoramico Urban protection Mascara

Lips/Lèvres:
- H&M Velvet Lip Cream"Belle Époque"

How I did it

The colours for Scorpio in the BH Palette belong both to the same family of dark/burnt oranges. You will be able to create a very nice makeup with both together, but I thought adding brown (Libra matte)  and gold (aquarius shimmer) to the mix would look even better.
I decided to do an intense and orangey look for Scorpio, which I paired it with a burnt-orange lipstick from H&M beauty range. I LOVE this lipstick but I think this colour has been sadly discontinued! Oh no, why??!! I also used quite a pigmented and shimmery blush by NYX cosmetics. I skipped liquid eyeliner because the whole look was already quite bold, instead I used eye pencil and smudge it off a bit.

This look came out so BOLD and so AUTUMNAL! I really like the orange hues on the lips, I think the overall look is quite stunning. What do you think?
Next month I'll be doing a Saggitarius look, the colours are quite Christmassy! so stay tuned for that.

If you are curious to see the looks I've created for each sign so far, please check them in the list down below:

I hope you've liked this look and, please, don't hesitate to leave me a comment if you have a question or suggestion!
