Hello, Sweeties!
It's been a while since H&M launched its own makeup and cosmetics range in September 2015. I think since about mid-2016, the whole range became available in the only H&M store in my small city of Biel. Since then, as I'm forever curious about new makeup, I picked a few items here and there, that I used gladly, others that I didn't like. But many of them have been featured on this blog in my different makeup looks. Today I'm gathering in one post the products I like the most from this brand, I'm also showing you a makeup look I made with them. I hope you like it!

H&M makeup range is super affordable. It is in Switzerland more affordable than most drugstore brands (except maybe Essence and Catrice). But this range is far from being cheap. The packaging is pretty, the colours range are super extensive, and inclusive. Their makeup brand is said to be cruelty-free, although no information is found on the packaging.

H&M Velvet Lip Cream "Belle époque"

Liquid lipstick have been all the rage for the past few years, so H&M couldn't miss the wave. They have quite a nice range of shades of liquid lipstick, from which I chose the fantastic shade "Belle Epoque". I tell you I don't own anything quite like this shade, it is red but not so red, it is orange, but not so orange, it is a bit rusty, a bit brick, but so rich!
Here is what H&M website has to say about this lippy:

"Velvet liquid lipstick offers a super-matte, full-coverage finish. Glides on easily, indulging lips in dramatic, velvety color. 0.10 fl.oz. How to use: Apply on clean lips either alone or after lip primer."

It applies easily, it is creamy during application and it glides on beautifully. It sets to a matte finish after a few minutes, but this is a comfortable matte, even for my dry lips. It lasts well on the lips for about 6 hours, but it is not indelible, so it needs re-application after a meal, which I don't mind. I'm in love with this colour!

H&M Cream Lip Colour "Cream Chesnut"

From the vast range of H&M cream lipsticks, I picked ONE lipstick. Not exactly because I *needed* it, but because I am a true lipstick addict and can't help myself. I have swatched a few shades in their display, and this cream nude/rose/brownish lipstick impressed me the most. It is so gorgeous! I'm tempted to call it "the perfect nude", but I'd say MY perfect nude. As very pale nude colours look horrible on me, I need nudes with a little more personality. This is it!
Here you are what their site says about these lipsticks:

"Our classic lipstick. The rich and creamy formula offers medium coverage, gliding on smoothly for full-bodied lips. With an inspiring palette of highly pigmented colours to choose from, it’s easy to match your mood and look. 3.5 g. How to use: Wear it alone, after lip primer for extra punch and staying power, or underneath a gloss to add shine."

This is true, the coverage is medium, which makes it perfect for an everyday lipstick that you can apply effortlessly and quickly without worries. It is moisturizing and very comfortable to wear. Its lasting power is not bad, I need re-applying after a few hours, and definitely after eating or drinking. I'm in LOVE with this colour!

H&M Cream Fusion Eye colour in "Heat of the moment"

When I picked this cream eyeshadow, the range consisted at least in 7 colours. Right now, in their website, I can only see one. I have decided to share it with you all the same because this is still available in my local H&M store, so maybe it is also available where you are.

This is what their website has to say:

"A luxurious cream-to-powder eyeshadow with a silky mousse texture and pure, intense colours. Quick drying for effortless application. 0.15 fl.oz. How to use: Using a brush or your fingertip, dab gently onto the eyelid and blend as desired. Wear over eye primer for even more vivid, lasting results. Tighten cap to prevent the product from drying out when not in use."

Every word in this description is accurate in my experience. It is silky, it applies like a cream and looks like powder, the colour is intense. BUT it is not as longlasting as other brands I've tried. However, for the price, it really worth trying it. For me, after 8 hours it starts creasing, but I love the colour and the cost, it costs me 3 times cheaper than a Benefit cream eyeshadow and it contains the same amount.

H&M Infinite Impact Eye Colour in "Mesmerize me"

I swatched all the Infinite Impact Eye colour shadows and this one stood out for me. It is a lovely dark slate green with intense golden and prismatic shimmer.
This is what their website has to say:

"A silky, blendable eye colour, applies easily and stays put for a vivid, velvety finish. Available in a vast range of carefully selected colours and eye-catching effects. From soft mattes to rich shimmers to bold metallics, the possibilities are endless. 0.07 oz. How to use: Apply on your eyelid, blending as desired. Wear over eye primer for even more intense and long-lasting results."

I think the description is very accurate, this shadow applies easily, has a silky feeling, and a satin finish with shimmer. Also, the colour is easily blendable, the pigment is decent, although it does need a good primer to improve its pay off. This one in particular called "Mesmerize me" it is definitely unique in my large collection and I really love it for creating smokey looks with a little shimmer.

H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blusher in "Apricot"

This blusher called my attention among the many options H&M has to offer. This is call Apricot, but it is more like a soft peach shade, so soft and natural it is ideal for my every day looks, even when I'm using very light or no makeup.
This is what the website says about the blushers:

"A soft powder blusher that blends easily for a natural, healthy-looking glow. The sheer formula offers buildable coverage and comes in an array of elegant shades to match any skin tone. 5 g. How to use: Apply alone or after face primer and powder."

It is again a very accurate description. This blusher is sheer but it delivers a lovely glow, a colour that never looks over the top. If you like those naturally glowing cheeks, you'll love any of the H&M blushers.

H&M Aqua Liquid eyeliner "All that Jazz"

Before getting this Gold Liquid liner from H&M I tried about 12 different brands and was never happy. I love this eyeliner so much that I already bought a backup because you know, brands usually discontinue colours and come up with new ones, but gold is gold ;)

The brand says:
"A highly pigmented liquid eyeliner with an intense payoff in a variety of finishes from glossy to metallic to sparkling. The waterproof formula is quick-drying and long-lasting, while the slender tip allows precise application. 1.7 ml. How to use: Shake well, then apply along the upper lash line as desired."

This eyeliner is super precise, the colour is metallic, with real sheen, without being glittery (I know many people hate glitter anywhere near the eyes. It can be subtle or full-on glam, I love the fact that you can customize the intensity. Also, this is among the most longlasting products I own! This actually STAYS PUT, it is waterproof and everything-proof. It only went away with oil makeup remover. I have used this in so many makeup looks I have lost count!

Makeup Look using H&M products

Here is a little look I created with 5 of the products from H&M. I'd love to read your feedback!

Bottom Line

I am pleased with my picks from H&M, I appreciate that their price tag is definitely affordable. I do recommend you to check their blushers and the lipsticks. There are a lot of other products in their range that I'd like to try, like their mascara and black liner, I'll keep you posted if I buy any of those.

Have you tried anything from H&M makeup range yet? Is this brand available where you live? What do you think of my picks and the looks I've created with them? Let me know in the comments!

Love,

Nati
