Hello, my lovelies!

I was looking forward to creating a new makeup look for the "Zodiac challenge", especially because I was eager to create a more spring like look.
As you know I'm showing more love to the makeup I own instead of buying new and I challenged myself to create twelve different looks with the BHCosmetics Zodiac palette, one for each sign. Today I focus on "Taurus" sign, which is my daughter's sing, so she got to choose the colours for today: pink and purple!

I want to state clearly that I don't really care for horoscope or Zodiac signs in general, and I don't know much about it, I just know that each sign roughly corresponds to a month of the year, and as there are twelve of them I thought it would be nice to make it a challenge to present you one new look each month. Taurus sign starts on April 19th through April , that's about all I know ;)

In the gorgeous BH Cosmetics Zodiac palette, the colours that correspond to Taurus are matte deep purple and a foil baked shadow in a champagne colour. I decided to use both, but I also added other two lighter purple colours from the palette to make the look more interesting. I hope you like the makeup I came up with ♥

Pink and Purple Cut Crease for a "Taurus" look

For this look I used:

My sweet baby favourite colours are pink and purple, so when I asked her what colours should mommy use for her makeup, my daughter didn't hesitate a bit. As the two colours for Taurus in the palette are very contrasting (deep purple and light shimmery champagne) I thought it would be fun to create a "cut crease" look.
Cut Crease look is a technique that became popular in the style of transformisme or "drag queen" makeup. It consists in marking deeply and in exaggerated way, usually with black or very intense colours, the line of your eye "crease" or socket as some people call it. In reality this is done above the actual crease, to make the illusion of a vbigger more rounded eye, which is ideal for Stage, actors, or performers, because nobody comes looking up close. In MY case, I respected my natural crease and eyeshape, because I am not a performer, lol. Here is how I proceeded.

For this look I used the colours:
Taurus matte (deep purple), Gemini matte and Cancer matte(purple):all three served the purpose of creating a "cut crease" demarking the crease boldly, I used the darkes shade towards the outer corner and the lightest towards the inner corner.
Taurus shimmer(champagne): all over the mobile lid and inner third of my lower lashline
Taurus matte (dark purple): in the outer corner and along the outer third of my lower lashline

I then added purple gel eyeliner and lots of mascara.
On the face, I used a bronzer from Givenchy, a bright pink blusher by Elf and a champagne highlighter by Makeup Geek. On the lips, I used a BEAUTIFUL pink lipstick by Estée Lauder that to me screams SPRING from the top of the roofs!

I kind of like how the look turned out, although it is not a look I'd used everyday and it is kind of too bold, because of the cut crease technique. I think I would mix in some more neutral colours in the crease to make it more wearable if I ever intended to remake this look.
Next month I'll be doing a Gemini look! And I think it will be a good one ;)

If you are curious to see the looks I've created for each sign so far, please check them in the list down below:

I hope you've liked this look and, please, don't hesitate to leave me a comment if you have a question or suggestion!

Love,
Nati
