Makeup │ Sultry Warm Toned Makeup with Chanel
Mar 28, 2019
Hello, lovelies!
Can you even believe March is coming to an end? Where did this month go? As every month, it is time for a new edition of my "shopping my stash" challenge!
I started this monthly challenge back in 2017, but it seems it is still a relevant thing to do! If you are in a "low buy", "no buy" and/or "shop your stash" project, you are of course invited to share your own experience! During the month of March I've been using an one of the most beautiful and useful palette by Chanel the lovely "Charming" quint, which is now discontinued, but the truth is I have completely forgotten about it until now, so it was a perfect candidate for my challenge.

Hello, lovelies! Happy Friday and happy March!
We had the most incredible month of February, so many cool things happened, and the sun was bright, the sky clear blue, most days, it definitely felt like spring is coming! I hope March will also be awesome and I hope yours will be too!
Now that February is gon is time for a new edition of my "shopping my stash" challenge! This monthly challenge that I started back in 2017 still goes strong! So, all my "low buy", "no buy" and "shop your stash" beauty friends, you are of course invited to share your own experience! During the past month I've been using an old quad by Chanel "Variation", which is now discontinued, but the truth is I have barely used it until now, so it looks as good as new. Keep reading to find out more about it and to see the look I came up with.
Makeup │ Golden Shock look with Dior
Jan 7, 2019
Hello, lovelies! Happy Monday!
How was your first week of the year 2019? While most people are already working on their resolutions, new lifestyles, diets and working out programs... I'm still on vacation! Oops!⠀
I really needed this family overload time (that in my country comes also together with a food overload, lol!) in the past two weeks we have had dinner parties, pizza parties, BBQ parties, poolside parties and all kind of parties which involved much chatting, laughs, hugs, children running and shouting, and much eating, hahaha, it's always about the food, right?⠀
December went too fast for me to be able to share with you the last edition of my "shopping my stash" challenge in 2018. So technically this post still belongs to last year's challenge. I've been using my old and beautiful Dior "Golden shock #756", a quint with very chic mauve and plums and a touch of gold.
Edgy Look in Mauve and Magenta for the Sign of Libra [Zodiac Makeup Challenge]
Oct 11, 2018
Hello, sweeties! It's me again!
It's time for a new Zodiac inspired makeup. As part of my 2018 resolution, I'm showing using more and in new creative ways the makeup I own instead of buying new items. That is why I challenged myself to create twelve different looks with the BHCosmetics Zodiac palette, one for each sign. Today, I created a Libra look for the "Zodiac challenge".
The shimmery colour for "Libra" zodiac sign is such a fantastic and special shade that will transform any look you do with it into WOW! As I applied the colours I realized that on the skin they look quite different than what they show on the pan, it was so much fun using them. I hope you like it!
Makeup │ Ice Pink and Berry Look for the Sign of Leo [Zodiac Makeup Challenge]
Jul 30, 2018
Happy Monday, sweeties!
We are enjoying our second vacation week by the sea! I'm sorry I haven't been around much answering your messages and comments, but I didn't have a good internet connection until now. The first week of vacation flew by. My 3-year-old fell and got injured in her face, compromising her front teeth, which risk to fall off. We were really scared, because at the moment of her fall she bleeded soooo much! If you are a mom or a dad you might understand what it means to see your toddler's face covered in so much blood you're actually not able to spot where the blood comes from! We took her to the nearest ER and she was in pain for a while and of course, we were worried for her. But the doctor says it was going to be ok soon and she was already in a good mood when we left the hospital, so we decided to stay in Italy and continue our vacation. Her injury healed so fast! It's barely noticeable now, she's enjoying herself and we are happy we finally decided to stay.
Now, let's get into makeup! I have created a new makeup look for the "Zodiac challenge"! As you know, I'm showing more love to the makeup I own instead of buying new items and I challenged myself to create twelve different looks with the BHCosmetics Zodiac palette, one for each sign. The palette has two beautiful colours for "Leo" zodiac sign and today I used those to create this makeup. I hope you like it!
Makeup │ Mauve, Blue and Duochorme Gold for the Sign of Cancer [Zodiac Makeup Challenge]

Summer Time, and the living is eaaaasy! Well, not yet... I know, we are all dreaming, hoping, wishing for a summer break, I know! There are still a couple of weeks to go until school summer break begins in Switzerland. In the meantime, Let's enjoy the World Cup!!
Today's is Argentina's second match and it's something I wouldn't miss for the World. As an expat, this is YET another opportunity to bathe my children in some Argentinian sports culture. This time Italy (my husband's home country) did not qualify for the Cup, so we only have one team to support. I'm less enthusiastic than the last time in 2014, when Argentina reached the Final and lost against Germany, I really thought we could win the cup! This year I see our team is not so well prepared and our coach is not the smartest. So I need to be thinking who to support in case Argentina doesn't make it past the first round. I really like Mexico's performance until now! What about you? do you watch the World Cup? Who do you support?

The palette has two beautiful colours for "Cancer" zodiac sign and today I used those to create this colourful shifting colour makeup. I hope you like it!
Makeup │ Metallic silver & mauve for the Sign of Gemini [Zodiac Makeup Challenge]
May 24, 2018
Hello, my lovelies!
Is life treating you well on your side? Here I'm still struggling with getting my Spring cleaning done. Yep, I'm super late... well, don't blame me! I'm a natural procrastinator when it comes to extra cleaning. I've been busier than usual on weekdays and then we've been having such nice long-weekends: who wants to stay inside cleaning?? Right. So I am a little behind... well, ok, a LOT! I made a list of unavoidable stuff: washing duvets, defrosting the freezer, cleaning the oven, decalcifying every machine, pipe, and whatever that touches the water, polishing the wooden floors, emptying all cupboards and cleaning every single item... I'm trying to squeeze one task per day into my schedule, let's see if I finish before the winter comes back, lol! What about you? Do you procrastinate the tasks you dislike or you get rid of them first? I'm the kind of person that starts with what I like the most and leave the unpleasant for the last ;)
Today I'm washing every pillow and mattress cover in the house, which is a "light" task so I get enough free time to share my new makeup look for the "Zodiac challenge"!
As you know, I'm showing more love to the makeup I own instead of buying new items and I challenged myself to create twelve different looks with the BHCosmetics Zodiac palette, one for each sign. The palette has two beautiful colours for "Gemini" zodiac sign and today I used those to create this crazy "galactic" metallic makeup. I hope you like it!
Shopping my stash │'Buy nothing' Sophisticated Look in grey and mauve
Feb 15, 2018
Hello, sweeties! I hope you all spent a lovely Valentine's day yesterday!
I took the day off from blogging and social media yesterday, I spent the whole day with my 5 year-old son and we did some fun stuff together. We also went to the cinema, as my boy really enjoys it. We didn't do any Valentine's related celebrations (except heartshaped raspberry and chocolate mousse that we had for desert, lol). Did you celebrate this Date?
Well, let's get into makeup. As every month, today I have a new edition of "shopping my stash" challenge. This month I've been playing with Dior 5 couleurs Cosmopolite #866 Eclectic quint, which I have used several times for my other challenges, but then forgot about it. Today I'm showing you the looks I've created with it, I hope you like it :)
Makeup │ Look in anthracite and mauve [Monday Shadow Challenge]
Oct 9, 2017
Hello, beauties!
I hope your weekend was all you expected it to be. We are back home and took it easy on the weekend. We arrived from our vacation on Saturday quite late in the evening, and we spent our Sunday mostly quietly. I blogged a lot, answered to emails, comments, read my favourite bloggers and wrote this article for you! So yes, you guess right, today will be laundry-heavy, lol.
Today's makeup look for the "Monday Shadow Challenge" pairs "anthracite and mauve" which is not the most flattering on me, but I leave it to your judgement.

Makeup │ Date night look in mauve and teal

Hi Sweeties! How are you?
Both my children were sick this week, the elder skipped school at the begining of the week, and the little one skipped day care yesterday and today, so this mummy's been busy. As a result, I couldn't write the review I was planning for today, I was really excited about, but don't worry, because that will be coming up next week!
So I went through my drafts and find a makeup look I did quite a long time ago, I thought to share it with you. I hope you like it!
Makeup │Those days when less is more: Subtle Grey for the Monday Shadow Challenge
Aug 22, 2016
Bonjour les filles! Hello, my lovelies!
How was your weekend? Today is one of those days when less is more. I wasn't inspired by the colour proposed for this Monday Shadow Challenge or by any colour really. As makeup is for me a form of expression, I thought, why not showing this lack of inspiration too?
Monday Shadow Challenge: Tangerine sunset
Aug 15, 2016
Hello Sweeties! Bonjour!
Today is back to school in Switzerland and, although the weather is very sunny and warm, there is this sensation lingering in the air that the summer is over. I know in many places summer vacation time has only started, but I don't live it the same way in Switzerland, I already feel Fall is around the corner here. Does it happen to you too?
There's a thing I love about summer and that's sunset happening late enough for us to enjoy watching it. After our daily occupations, our minds can be free to watch the sky for a little while. Watching a sunset is such an inspiring moment! I couldn't help feeling a bit nostalgic while reflecting that the days got a lot shorter already and soon the sunsets will happen somewhen in the middle of our daily chores and I guess I will miss it.
That's what I was thinking of when I created this look for today. Although this Monday Shadow Challenge features a bright summery colour -tangerine-, my interpretation is a bit toned down. In fact I tried to do a Sunset inspired makeup. Shall we take a closer look?
ABC Challenge: D is for Depend #58
Feb 14, 2016
Happy Valentine's day sweeties! I hope you are having a great one :) you know mine is going to be low profile, so I'm keeping up with the blog.
Continuing with the "ABC Challenge", today I have another untried nail polish to show you. Today's choice is a Swedish brand called Depend, which is not super easy to find.
Mauve Smokey eyes in San Francisco
Jan 22, 2014
I'm showing some love to my BH Cosmetics San Francisco Palette. I could see so many possibilities using this palette that I hesitated a lot before deciding what to do. I finally went with a mauve purple-y smokey eye look because I'm so fond of those colours.
33DC - Day 27: A manicure featuring 3 patterns
Nov 22, 2013
Happy Friday to y'all!
I'm so happy it's Friday I'm just going to skip the fact all my pictures for this post are so crappy and smile!
This is day 27 of the 33 Days Challenge, we are approaching the end! The prompt for today was 3 pattern manicure, and as I like to complicate things (as usual) I wanted to recreate a mani from The Nail polish project, but using different colours.

EOTD: Deep Rose look using Catrice Arts Collection Baroque palette
Oct 20, 2013
Hello lovelies! How are you doing? I hope you're enjoying your Sunday.
I just wanted to share with you a look I've done using my new Catrice Arts Collection palette. If you missed it you can click here to see the complete review.
I'm loving this palette, and I think I'm going to use it a lot this Fall.
Without further ado, here is the look
Catrice Arts Collection LE Baroque Eye & face palette - Swatches & review
Oct 17, 2013
Hello my lovelies! How are you today? I'm very excited because I've been waiting impatiently for this new Catrice Limited edition to be available since I first saw the promo pictures. Catrice The Arts collection is inspired by three different artistic movements: Art Nouveau, Baroque and Art deco, all very rich in colour and details. The Collection consists on three eyes and face palettes and three coordinated nail polishes. You can see all the items of the collection collection here.
Unlike last year, when I picked the 3 palettes of Big city life collection, this year I couldn't justify owning more bronze and gunmetal eyeshades, or yet another gold nail polish. So the Art Déco palette and polish were out of the question. I'm still hhesitant whether I should pick the Art Nouveau set, or maybe just the polish. Finally, I only bought one the Baroque palette and nail polish which I'll be showing you today.
All Time Favourite: OPI Meet me at the Star Ferry
Dec 16, 2012
This was part of the OPI Hong Kong Collection for Spring 2010 and is one of the most unexpected shades of the collection in my opinion. I love the shimmer on this one, being fun, but subtle at the same time!
Do you own this shade? Do you like it as much as I do, or you're more like "meh" about it?
In other new, I thought I'd like to write one or two off topic posts about my home country and some fun traditions, landscapes, or things of the sort, would that be interesting for you?
Loads of love!
Nati
