Hello lovelies! How are you today?
You know I like to share with you what is on my everyday makeup bag (I used to call this post "makeup routine"). These are the items I use daily for a 10 minutes face look. I've been enjoying to put the accent on my lips and rotating between two fabulous lipsticks. Shall we take a look?
Currently, I'm not using a makeup primer daily, not even on the lids!
Concealer:
Lately I am opting for concealing only undereye darkness, and NYX HD Photogenic concealer CW04 Beige, does this job well! I admit I had a lot less blemishes since I am pregnant so I don't really need a thicker concealer.
Foundation:
I am currently using YSL Youth Liberator foundation serum in B30. It is quite a rich foundation but I feel it gives to my tired and thirsty skin just what it needs to look good in winter, leaving a dewy appearance and a smooth finish. I apply it with Real Techniques Expert face brush.
Powder and highlighter :
I usually wouldn't use much powder, but YSL foundation lasts much longer if I apply an ultra thin coat of Chanel Poudre Universelle libre in Rose claire #22, which balances nicely the strong yellow undertone of the YSL foundation.
To give a little highlight to the face I'm using my beloved Chanel Lumières d'artifices beiges.
Cheeks:
This season I'm absolutely in love with MAC Mineralize blush in Modest, a muted and transluscent rose shade, which I find a perfect complement to a strong lip look, or even for a racy red lip!
Brows:
I'm using NYX eybrow cake powder and this is a staple for me ;)
Eyes:
I'm going very very soft on the eyes, adding just a touch of depth with MAC Paint pot in Taylor Gray, and blending, blending, blending! No eyeliner or pencil, just a discreet NYX Mascara.

Lips:
The stars of my makeup bag are these two intense lipsticks MAC cremesheen lipstick in Dare you!, and Dior rouge Pied-de-poule.

And this is what I'm wearing today: all the products mentioned above and on the lips Mac Cremesheen lipstick in Dare you!
What about your makeup bag? what's in it? would you wear a strong lip for a day look?
Love,
Nati
Oh so many nice products, and such a gorgeous result on you, you look beautiful as always,
ReplyDeleteI'm so bad at using a lip product, well I'm using a chap stick but lip stick is something I use just a few times/year.
Thank you for your sweet comment Ann-Sofie. You know when I was in my 20's I was like you, I used mostly lipbalm and eventually lip gloss. But as I grew older I got like a lipstick addiction, haha!
DeleteI always enjoy reading this kinds of posts, the everyday make up is very interesting because we use (and therefore test it) so frequently we can always give a good review on how we feel about it. I love the look, you look superb! I think colored lipstick always look so good on others, but on me I think it look weird. My lips are big and I feel like a clown so usually I have muted nude lipstick and preferably a little black eyeliner ving on half of my eyelid. My focus is on the eyes and not the lips. :P
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like this post! You know, about lipstick, I think each one should go with what it feel confortable for them. If for you is nude lipstick, then that's it! I wear a lot softer colours of lipsticks including rose and pink, this is just lately I had the need to make my lips POP! haha, crazy pregnant woman, haha
DeleteLove all that stuff dear!!! Well I am a make lover... lol

I am glad you like it!
DeleteThose are some gorgeous product that you're using and you look fantastic! I have always wondered about the YSL foundation but have yet to invest in it. I am not a fan of anything full coverage so I thought of asking a sample before purchasing. :-/
ReplyDeleteShireen | Reflection of Sanity
Hi Shireen, thank you! This YSL foundation is not full coverage, I'd say medium coverage. The thing is it is quite moisturizing and rich, so it is not appropriate for oily skin gals, or even for me (combination to dry) in the hottest months. But I love it for winter, because when the skin looks dry and tired long wearing matte foundations tend to emphasize fine lines and I look OLDER. This foundation has the opposite effect, and makes my skin look fresh all day long ;)
Deletereally pretty! I love the lippy :)
ReplyDeletethank you Jacquie!
DeleteReally pretty makeup and I love that lipstick. You really suit it :-D
ReplyDeleteThank you Ananka :)
DeleteWow... beautiful lipstick!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it Veronica :)
DeleteLove your natural looking make-up! I would wish I could were red lipstick too, because I love it. But I think it looks bad on me :( This weekend I am going to try to were one because I am going to a carnival party, I am curious of my husbands reaction :))
ReplyDeleteOh Andrea I can't believe red lipstick looking bad on anyone!! Listen, I am sure there is the PERFECT red lipstick for you somewhere out there you just need to find it!!
DeleteHey Nati, OOMPH indeed! You look really good! I like your new, shorter hair :)
ReplyDeleteYou know me: I do not shy from strong lip colors, although red isn't a shade that I wear often. My favorite lipstick for the moment is Chanel La Romanesque, although I am still very much in love with berry and plum shades as well :)
Thank you Sunny! I know berry shades come strong this Spring, but I think the pregnancy hormons make me reach for more wine-like sultry shades lately! hahaha crazypregnantwoman!!
DeleteNatalia, I have always marveled at your makeup skills. How do you keep your lip line so even? Do you have any tricks or suggestions?
ReplyDeleteFrom Jing at www.bejingxu.com
Oh Jing sweetie, I take that question as a compliment! Well, I do have one or two tricks I've learnt on youtube, but I haven't specially used them for this look. This is supposed to be a quick everyday look!. And let me tell you NEVER a MAC lipstick has migrated into fine lines around my lips, these babies are good!
