Korean Beauty │ Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask COLLAGEN Skin Firming [Review]

Hi, Sweeties!
It's been very long since I chat with you about Korean beauty products, so today I would like to share with you another facial mask I've tried and loved! It is the new Etude House generation of masks 0.2 Therapy Air Mask*, I tell you more about it after the jump.

Today I am presenting to you the Etude House Collagen mask that I purchased from the online store BoOonBox. Without further ado, let's take a look at it!

Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask Collagen

Claim and instructions

"After your cleanser and toner, carefully unpack mask and smoothen over face. Let it sit for 10-20 minutes. Pat in remaining essences for better absorption. Follow with your sleeping mask or go to bed as is."

You can apply mask 1-2x a week according to your needs, or daily with this kind of mask from Etude House

Tips:

  • For times when your skin feels tired or dehydrated, (or you yourself needs relaxion!), sheet masks are most convenient way to bring back your skin health in as little as 15 minutes!
  • For cooling effect, you can store the mask in the fridge before use.

"Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask is a hypoallergenic mask, made extra thin so that your skin can breathe while it embraces your skin tighter for better absorption of the active ingredients. The Collagen type (skin firming), is just one of the series of the 0.2 Therapy mask which can be used as a daily sheet mask.
Formulated with ample amount of collagen and adenosine which firm skin and prevent development of fine lines. Give your skin extra moisture as well! It contains hydrolyzed collagen of 2500 ppm in an emulsion type of essence.

Packaging

Etude House has considerably improved their instructions and information in English compared with their first masks I've tried. Thumbs up for that! You can find all the information you need in English  on the packaging :)

Mask shape and application

The "0.2 Therapy Air Mask"is the improved design for Masks from Etude house. As I've already said in one of my previous reviews, I'm very happy with this new version. The shape is large enough and long enough for my face and the tissue is super light, flexible and fits the face perfectly adhering to the skin! The serum in it is refreshing and liquidy. I left it for 20 minutes, it doesn't feel tingly or any weird feeling on my sensitive skin. It didn't cause any redness or irritation at all.

Ingredients

Water, dipropylene glycol,/capric triglyceride, glycerin, methylpropanediol, sorbitan stearate, butylene glycol, 1,2-hexanediol, hydrolyzed collagen (2,500 PPM) sortibtan sequoleate, arginine, acrylates/C-10-30 alkyl acrylate, crosspolymer, hydroxycellulose, sucrose cocoate, coptis japonia root extract, zingeer officiale (ginger) root extract, camella sness leaf extract, glycyrrhza glbra (licorice) root extract, adenosine, dehydroactic acid, dipottasium glycylrrhzate, disodium EDTA, boswellia serrata gum, sodium hyaluronate, hydrogenated lecithin, phytosteryl/octyldodecyl lauroyl glutamate, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, geranium maculatum oil, citrus paradisi (grapefruit) peel oil, ceramide NP, centella asiatica extract, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil, citrus limon (lemon) fruit extract

Nothing calls my attention on the list, I don't spot any particular irritant ingredient On the contrary, many of the "good" ingredients, the main being hydrolysed collagen, which will greatly contribute to improving moisturizing, and plump up your skin to diminish wrinkles and give more firmness. There is also Licorice root and Ginger toot extracts, which are known for giving firmness to the skin, as well as Centella Asiatica extract and rosemary leaf oil.

Personal Experience

The package contains a folded sheet mask which bathes in 20ml of serum, which is A LOT. Just imagine most serums you get are 30ml bottles intended for multiple applications, so 20ml at once is really huge.
The essence or serum is quite dense, more than other masks I could try, and has a milky colour. As I got the mask out of the package, I had a bit of a hard time unfolding it, as the mask is very thin and the serum it soaked in made it very soft and sticky. But I eventually succeeded to unfold it and apply it on my face. My first reaction was "this is freezing cold!" exactly. Not cool, or fresh, actually uncomfortably COLD! wow, that was very impressive considering it was quite a warm day. I think the cold feeling helps the skin tighten temporarily, as well. I left the masl on for 20 minutes.
I removed the mask and lightly massage the remaining product onto my skin, which sank in completely 5 minutes later. I applied it during my lunch break because I was planning to do my makeup and go out that evening and my skin was needing a little help.

This mask did not tighten my skin, but it definitely helped a lot improving my skin texture. My face appeared super moisturized, and the skin looked smoother, a little plumped up, definitely much better that it was. The day I applied the mask, that evening I did my regular skincare routine and went to sleep. The following day I woke up to the most radiant looking skin I've had in a long time. So for next time I'll use this time, I will definitely apply it before bed, because this works its magic best during nighttime, that is when cellular regeneration takes place.

As I often say, remember that skincare is not magical and it needs a regular application to offer the maximum effect. This  mask is very affordable and I will definitely buy a few more and apply them regularly.

The Etude House Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask Collagen is available at BoOonBox online store and retails for 2.70 CHF (around 2.90 USD)
