Hello, my lovelies! Happy hump day!
I am super excited as tomorrow is VACATION TIME! whoop whoop! I have already prepared a few articles to post during my absence and you'll be able to find me on Instagram and Facebook (I'll be checking at least once per day). But I did not want to leave without sharing with you a new article for my newest monthly series "Shopping my stash". This series of posts is dedicated to showing some love to makeup products of my own collection instead of buying new. I am rediscovering products that you haven't used in a while and for the month of July I've been playing with Chanel Empreinte du désert Quadra eyeshadow, which was untouched, never used and in its original packaging! I am also showing you a look I created with it. Keep reading to find out :)
Last Spring I cleaned up a bit my makeup collection and ditched lots of stuff that smelled weird, were filthy or broken. I came to the realisation the I had a lot of items (especially high-end stuff) barely used, or NEVER used, still in their original packaging!! Especially the high-end eyeshadow quads and quints: Here take a look!
I know... Those items were needing LOVe a.s.a.p.
I decided to start this new series of posts here on the blog that would allow me to commit in "Shopping my stash", which means going through products I own instead of buying new, and using them for a while. I have decided that each month I would pick an eyeshadow quad or quint from my collection and use it during the whole month. The month of July I've been using Chanel Empreinte du désert and today I share with you one of the looks I came up with.
Chanel Empreinte du Désert
Quadra eyeshadow
Chanel Empreinte du désert quadra eyeshadow, launched in June 2016 as part of the Collection "Dans la lumière de l'été", which was limited edition. It is a beautiful quad composed of a medium green, a champagne, a bronze and a brown, all with a fabulous pearl-satin finish and a creamy texture. The shadows have a beautiful embossed design imitating désert sand!
At the time the palette launched, I thought it was too expensive for my budget, although I really enjoy the texture and the finish of the shadows, and the colours are very wearable, I had other priorities and skipped it. However I was lucky enough to get it with 50% discount a few months laters, and as the only objection was the price, I didn't hesitate to buy it. It was near Christmas and we were preparing to leave to Argentina, I don't usually take special or limited edition products on trips as the risk to break/loss is high. So I place this gorgeous palette in my stash and forgot about it!

The palette was completely new, and I used it for the first time this month. The texture and pigmentation are excellent!
I have used only this palette for most of the month of June (except for the looks I had to do for reviews and challenges here in the blog or Instagram). There is one particular look that I loved so I recreated it to share it with you.

I am so happy to have re-discover this quad by Chanel and it hasn't been difficult at all to stick to it for almost three weeks. I still haven't decided if I will carry it with me in my trip to Italy, Maybe I will, but I'm so clumsy I am afraid to drop it and break it, LOL. I will prepare an Instagram post showing you what makeup and travel essentials I took with me for vacation, so stay tuned!
