Hello my dears! How are you doing?
Here I am again with another Valentine's day manicure! This time it's a more "girly" look, using PINK! Have you thought I wasn't going to do a Valentine's pink mani?? LOL!
Well, for this manicure I've used BB couture Love bug, which is a gorgeous pink jelly with silver shimmer, but boy! what a pain to apply! This has a rather thick formula but is very sheer, making it quite tricky to apply, I started with two thin coats, but the first coat took so long to dry, that applying the secong I dragged the polish leaving bold spots. So I added a thick third coat (was loosing patience at this point, trying to level out the whole thing. It took forever to dry, even with seche vite.
So, the day after, I decided I was going to make an accent nail using the tiny pearls (those usually used for caviar nails) and placed them in a heart shape, and fill in the Heart with Chanel Cassis. The small pearls come in a lovely nail art decorations pouch from Essence Vintage district, I received mine from the lovely Christine, from Polished Marvels! With a little luck you can win the same in my giveaway!! Make sure you enter here.
What do you think about this mani? I suppose it's a very girly yet subtle result. Let me know your thoughts!
Love,
Nati
Cute nails! :)

DeleteHi Nati, now I would not have dared you would pass up pink ;-)!!! It is so lovely on ya and while I understand that you ran out of patience applying Love Bug it was so worth the trouble. And that cutsy heart with the pearls.... you are so gifted in those things - consider me applauding xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine, for your sweet comment! (blushing here)
DeleteCiao bella Nati! :D

Perhaps the best use ever for caviar pearls :D

Deleteweel, I don't know if I'll ever dare the whole caviar look. this seemed pearly enough for me :D

Another great design. As always I really like the 'base' coat on its own as well, without the embellishment :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa! it seems lately I can't help myself from adding "embellishments", lol. but it was a Valentine's theme so it was screaming for a heart!
DeleteWell I'm glad you didn't give up on the troublesome nail polish because it came out so lovely! That pink is just gorgeous gorgeous and the accent heart almost looks like one whole piece. Very nice.
