Hello my sweeties, how are you doing?
It's been a while since I last shared my make up bag contents with you. My current everyday look is still on the pink nuance, though a bit more pigmented an luminous. Have a look! I'd love to have your feedback.
Preparation:
I'm not using a makeup primer daily, but when I want to look flawless I reach out for Benefit Porefessional primer (which is not in the pic, I know).
Concealer:
I wonder if this will ever change... I'm still using NYX Concealer Jar #04 Beige for dark circles, blemishes and imperfections. It's just price/quality ratio unbeatable.
Foundation:
I came back to one of my favourites, Bourjois healthy mix foundation, it has a nice coverage but it feels very light on the skin, leaving it dewy. I enjoy applying it with my fingers because its creamy texture is easier to handle and work with than a liquid-y one.
Cheeks:
Guess who came back to the rodeo? Is the mythic Too faced Leopard Love trio (gues which is my fave?), right now it seems I can't have enough of "Candy Leopard" pink and hot pink blush with gold, seems so appropriate for the season!
Powder, highlighter and bronzer:
The warmer the season, the more I powder my face. I'm currently using Benefit Hello Flawless in Champagne to set concealer and on my T zone and chin. I try to leave the rest of the face unpowdered to avoid looking all cakey.
The star of my makeup bag is this gorgeous Guerlain Météorites Blossom in #2 Clair. It's my secret weapon to ad luminosity to the face!
Brows:
I'm using NYX Skinny brown liner from the Collection Chocolaté, and I'm loving it! The ultra fine tip makes my brows look so natural and I personally find it much easier to use than powder.
Eyes:
My everyday bag has Chanel Quadra eye #228 Tissé Cambon and Essence craon kohl from the Love letters collection in grey-headed love-bird. While I use the latter alone almost everyday, a more sophisticated look needs the Chanel palette I'm specially loving the taupe-y shade on the top left. My current mascara is NYX Le Frou Frou, from which I'm falling out of love... need to invest in a better one!

Lips:
On a daily basis I'd useAstor liquid care lip gloss on 108 Gorgeous fuchsia. It's so creamy and comfortable plus the colour so nice for Spring!

And this is what I'm wearing today: The base (foundation + concealer), setting powder, Guerlain météorites, Too faced blush, filled in eyebrows, Chanel eyeshadow, mascara and Astor gloss.
What has changed in your makeup routine lately? have you add some fun colours to your makeup bag with the arriving of Spring? Don't be shy, leave a comment!
Love,
Nati
You look absolutely stunning my dear friend!!! Thanks for sharing!! I wanted to confess on your post on the Chanel Palette already: I own this too and seem to be unable to work it nicely - more practice is in demand! My most recent buy (read yesterday) is one of the new blushes from the MAC Acquatic Collection ;-). My routine is to change my products daily at the moment as I love them all and would not want to neglect any of them. I use 2 different BB Creams and about 4 different liquid foundations. Eyeshadows I am all for Urban Decay Naked 1-3, Mascara I have a whole range too no preferences. I spare you from blushes and lip adornments - else this comment grows endless - right now on my lips: Chanel La Favorite - bisous ma biche xxx
ReplyDeleteSalut ma belle! Thank you for your sweet compliment. I know about Chanel quads, they're... strange. The baked shadow formula we get in Europe is not as easy to work with as the pressed formula in the US, although the colours are the same they do not show equally on the skin. I have purposely chosen the palette because it looks translucent and soft. And of course you could never compare the pigmentation to UD or MAC, not even DIor!
DeleteWow I'm so surprised to hear all the makeup you can rotate! I thought you were more of a "few-staple-products" gal. I'd love to know which are the liquid foundations you use! Have a lovely weekend ma chère, bisous xxx
Oh I love to share ;-) - I used to be one of those few staple gals but then I met a friend whose name starts with a "N" and the Rest is history. I have two favorites: Guerlain Lingerie de Peau and MAC Mineralize Moisturizing Foundation. Closely followed by YSL Forever Young and YSL Teint Resist. I actually like the lower pigmentation in the Chanel eyeshadows - it was the colors I had issues with but your post has helped tremendously - have a lovely weekend too ma belle xxx
DeleteAck, I love all your picks! And you look lovely. These soft delicate colors look fantastic on you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Melissa! you're so sweet. I know I keep it pretty soft for everyday. But every summer I go wild in colour and this summer YSL and Dior looks with bold blues are calling my name! haha
DeleteYou look great! This spring I have been incorporating bright lips into my routine. My favorites are Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids in Vibrant Mandarin and Vivid Rose.
ReplyDeleteOh, I've seen those lippies, they look really awesome, I should try one of them :)
DeleteI starred filling my brows, Use a skin colored eyeshadow on my whole lid. I am using powder foundation
ReplyDeleteand a berry blush
I don't have a lot of make up, I think I'm really boring with my 2-3 make up "styles", I think they look good on me and I stick up to my favourite colours... :-)
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful and very natural! :-)
