5 Drugstore Lipsticks I'm obsessing about

Feb 17, 2020

Hello, Lovelies! Happy Monday!
Today I want to talk to you about 5 Drugstore Lipsticks that I've been obsessing about! Oh yes, I love me some fancy high-end makeup now and then, but in total honesty, so many drugstore brands carry really good lipsticks that have nothing to envy to the luxury ones. But yes, drugstore ranges are not always consistent, and some brands are a bit of hit and miss, so it takes a lot of try and error to find THE ONE. So, here I am doing the job for you! I introduce to you 5 really amazing options to have your lips on-point without breaking the bank! I'll talk about the brands H&M, Essence Cosmetics, Gosh Copenaghen, Maybelline New York and Cover Girl!
Let's take a look.

10 Things I've Been Obsessing Over this Fall

Oct 4, 2018

Hello, sweeties!
It's high time to recap September and share with you some products I've been obsessing with the whole month. I made an effort to shorten my list as much as possible, so I decided to leave out some products that I will be sharing with you on an empties post and also I decided to leave out clothing and shoes which I will either show you on Instagram stories or never, because I don't think I'll be ever doing a fashion post, lol!
Well, let's take a look back into September, shall we?

Jun 5, 2018

Hello, lovelies!
How are you today? It's time to chat about skincare!
You know how popular is Korean skincare and the trend doesn't seem to fade. I personally have made amazing discoveries among the Korean brands, of ingredients and products that are new to me. As usual, my trustworthy place for shopping for Korean brands and products is the specialized boutiques in Switzerland BoOonBox, where I decided to pick this Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence. Makeup │ Summer Look in Camel and Aqua blue [Monday Shadow Challenge]

Jun 4, 2018

(Défilez vers le bas pour le Français)

Hello, sweeties! Happy Monday!
We had such a nice weekend, especially on Sunday, as we went strawberry picking with the kids, the weather was perfect and we surely enjoyed it. I posted our pics on Instagram Stories so that you can see us picking (and eating :9 ) delicious strawberries. Be sure to check my highlight under "Sunday Fun Day", that's where I post all our family adventures ;) What did you do the past weekend?

As every Monday, I have a new makeup look to share with you today. This time the Monday Shadow Challenge prompted us to use "Camel" and "Aqua blue", a combination that reminds me of beautiful sandy beaches and the sea! Of course, it could hardly be more summery! Let's take a look, shall we?

Makeup │ Mint and Champagne Summer Look [Monday Shadow Challenge]

May 28, 2018

(Défilez vers le bas pour le Français)

Happy Monday, lovelies!
What a great weekend that was! It was filled with fun moments and high in emotions. My girl's birthday party was a success, our dear friends and family were there and I was so very happy. One of the things I enjoy the most in this life is hosting parties, any kind of party, children's parties, dinner party, grill party (though we don't have a garden, lol) whatever! I love gathering the people I love pampering them with things I've prepared for them with love and dedication. I think I got that from my mom. My hubby, on the other hand, though he enjoys the meeting moment, he dislikes all the prepping and the cleaning afterwards (even when it's me doing all most of the work). He feels uncomfortable and moody during the whole process. So we don't host as many parties as I would like... And when we do, we try to look for a "neutral place". In fact, I agree that our flat is quite small, so we come to this kind of compromise of hosting parties, but not at home. What about you? Do you enjoy hosting parties?

Well, it's makeup time! The Monday Shadow Challenge proposed us to combine "Mint" and "champagne" but not for a summer drink, lol, just the colours! Let's see what I've come up with.

Makeup │Festival Coral and Neon Pink Look [Monday Shadow Challenge]

May 21, 2018

(Défilez vers le bas pour le Français)

Happy Monday, lovelies!
We are still enjoying our three-day weekend, we are about to go out for a picnic with the kids, relax and enjoy ourselves. Is it also a bank holiday where you live today?

Today's Monday Shadow Challenge is more than bold, totally crazy! We ought to combine Coral and neon pink.  I definitely don't use this colours a lot, not on a day to day basis, not even rarely, it was a real challenge for me, I look at my picture and I don't recognize my style!! But I suppose that's fine for pushing my boundaries and doing things outside of my comfort zone. So today I give you two clever tips on how to wear neon colours on your makeup for a party, festival, or just to have fun! One is how to create your own DIY neon eyeliner, and the other is how to wear neon lipstick in a more subtle way. Without further ado, let's take a look.

Makeup │Intense Smokey Look in Navy Blue and Gold [Monday Shadow Challenge]

Apr 16, 2018

Happy Monday, lovelies! How are you today?

I'm back from a few amazing days in Barcelona with my family. We had a nice time and much fun despite the rainy weather. I've shown you little bits and pieces of our family moments on Instagram stories, but not much. I'm the kind of person who prefers to enjoy the moment fully and leave the "reports" sharing for later, I know it's not very much in the mood of times, but when I try to be posting in real time I have the feeling of not enjoying the moment properly... what about you? how do you manage the sharing in social media?

My makeup look for today is a very intense one, but not so crazy that is not wearable for a night out, for instance. This week the Monday Shadow Challenge prompted us to used "navy and gold" colours, two shades I've already combined in the past, but that I don't mind repeating because it is such a gorgeous combination. I hope you like what I've come up with.

Makeup │Subtle Spring look in Apricot and Black [Monday Shadow Challenge]

Apr 9, 2018

Happy Monday, lovelies!

This is for me a Monday that tastes like a Friday, how cool can that be?! In fact, tomorrow we are leaving for our short, but much, much awaited trip to Barcelona! Yay!!
Everyone at home is very excited for this, I'm rushing to schedule a couple of posts during my absence and I still haven't packed (well it's only 4 days, so that should be done quickly). I will post a little less this week, but I will keep you up with our family adventures in Barcelona through my Instagram Stories, so be sure to follow me there!

As every Monday, I have a new makeup look to show you today. I decided I needed to take a break from bold and striking colours, so today, it is a very soft and sweet makeup I created. This week the Monday Shadow Challenge prompted us to used "apricot and black"colours, two shades I've already combined in the past, in more elaborated looks, then this soft version would be a nice alternative for people who prefer a lighter look. Shall we take a closer look?

Makeup │Pastel yellow and lilac subtle look for Spring/Summer [Monday Shadow Challenge]

May 29, 2017
(Défilez vers le bas pour le Français)

Hello, sweeties! How are you?
I can't begin to tell you how hard was getting back to the regular routine this morning after 4 wonderful long-weekend days spent in Italy. As I write my girl is yelling (instead of napping) because I am actually doing something else than being with her, great... so easy to explain to a two-year-old that mommy would like to write a blog post and why that's "important" right? Well, it is not, of course, or is it?
I came back home from this short vacation with a broken toe. It happened on Saturday morning and I know it's actually broken (even if I haven't been yet able to get myself to the hospital for a check), I know so because my foot is swollen, my toe and the surrounding area is blue slightly turning to black, and I would rather crush my face on the floor than walking -as it is so painful. But I've been trying hard to smile and go on with the vacation as planned. Family life doesn't seem to allow me any moment to take care of my injured foot until tomorrow.
Anyways, I had prepared a makeup look for today long ago and I wanted to share it with you, just because I really need a lift up and blogging about makeup does it for me. This time the challenge is to combine Pastel yellow and lilac for the Monday Shadow Challenge. I hope you like it!

Hello, sweeties! How are you today?
As every Monday for the past year, today I have a makeup look to share with you! The Monday Shadow Challenge proposed us to combine Lime green & Purple, a crazy and unusual combo, I must admit. I could only imagine creating a crazy look with some 80's vibe. I hope you like it!

Empties │ The products I've used up recently [Makeup & Skincare]

May 2, 2017

Hello, sweeties! It's been ages since I shared with you the products I've used up. I've cumulated a HUGE amount of empty bottles, but I have decided to leave out all the products that have already been featured in past editions of "the empties" posts and I split the rest into two groups. This time I'm going to talk about the skincare and makeup products and I will address the body and hair products in a future post.
So let's get to it!

Makeup│Black and White eyeliner look [Monday Shadow Challenge]

May 1, 2017
(Défilez vers le bas pour le Français)

Hello, lovelies! Happy International Labor day!
Today is a non-working holiday in many countries, but the Monday Shadow Challenge doesn't take the day off! This weekly makeup challenge is taking a new turn, from now on, instead of focusing on one color for creating our makeups, we will be using a set of two colors we ought to include in our looks. The challenge becomes more interesting and difficult from now on!
For the first duo of colors, Séverine has chosen "Black and white". Let's see what I came up with!

Red, yellow & green Splatter Nail design with OPI Washington collection

Hello Sweeties!! Happy Friday!
It looks like we are going to have the first gloomy weekend in a very long time, so Fall is announcing itself  on time. It is not all bad because I'd like to do some deep house cleaning on Saturday (yay... not) and  it is something I much prefer doing when it is not sunny outside. On Sunday we'll probably have some family quiet brunch time and hope the weather will improve by then. What are your plans for the weekend? I'd love to hear what you are after and give me some ideas!

Now, as every Friday it's time for nail art! Today I'm showing you another nail design for the 40 Great Nail art Ideas Challenge, and the prompt this week is "red, yellow, green". Today's manicure is also a good one for short nails, I hope you like it!
