Hello, sweeties! I hope you had a great weekend. I'm playing catch up with the "ABC challenge" which should have been posted last Thursday. But that day I came home after a 27 hour triè and had no energy to blog what so ever. Today's choice is the American brand NYX in the shade Dance in Havana. I only got
What is ABC Challenge?
It is a challenge, organized by Helena from Lacky Corner, we are doing with some Facebook fellows who love and collect nail polish and have a lot of colours that have never been tried. The scope of the challenge is to start using those untried nail polishes in alphabetical order! Today is the turn of letter "N".
NYX Dance in Havana was from the NYX girls range, which I am afraid has been discontinued. I bought this one together with a bunch of other colours in 2011 and paid less than 2 USD per bottle. For some
NYX girls Dance in Havana is a bright and gorgeous coral crème with a tinge of pink. My pictures fail to show the pink in it, but it is definitely there to my eye. After all these years on the shelf, it applies like a dream and reaches full opacity with two coats. Thumbs up for the brush and the formulation (3BFree)!
I have applied this colour on March 11th (using Zoya anchor basecoat and Zoya Armor topcoat) and I am still wearing it. It held amazingly for the first 7 days and then started to show tip wear. It was acceptable until yesterday when I broke a nail and it chipped :,( (The nail growth is awful though, and I can't wait to take it off!)
What do you think of this shade? Do you own any of the old NYX nail polishes? Have tried this one?
Please, visit my challenge mates here below for more beautiful nail polish swatches starting with "N":)
Love,
Nati
