Hello, my lovelies! Happy hump day!
I'm super happy because we just booked our next family vacation. As you know if you follow me on Instagram, children get a 3-week autumn school break where we live. So it's a perfect occasion to take a week off! We'll be soon taking off to Croatia and I can't wait for it! We will stay in Dubrovnik for a week and it seems there is so much to see and do, are you from Croatia or have you been to Dubrovnik? Do you have any recommendations on what we shouldn't miss? any good restaurant tips? any activities for families with young children? it would be most welcome!!

But enough about that, it's time to dive into my makeup drawer again and pick a palette for the September edition of my monthly series "Shopping my stash". This series of posts is dedicated to showing some love to makeup products of my own collection instead of buying new. I am rediscovering products that I haven't used in a while and this month of September I've been playing with Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow #236 Tissé Fantaisie, which I haven't reached for in a while. I am also showing you a look I created with it. Keep reading to find out :)

Last Spring I cleaned up a bit my makeup collection and ditched lots of stuff that smelled weird, were filthy or broken. I came to the realisation the I had a lot of items (especially high-end stuff) barely used, or NEVER used, still in their original packaging!! Especially the high-end eyeshadow quads and quints: Here take a look!
I know... Those items were needing LOVE a.s.a.p.

I decided to start this new series of posts here on the blog that would allow me to commit to "Shopping my stash", which means going through products I own instead of buying new ones. I have decided that each month I would pick an eyeshadow quad or quint from my collection and use it during the whole month. The month of September I've been playing with Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow #236 Tissé Fantaisie and today I share with you one of the looks I came up with.

Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow #236 Tissé Fantaisie

Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow #236 Tissé Fantaisie was a limited Edition that launched in Spring 2015, and I got in an unplanned haul during a summer sale the same year. I still think this quad was in a sale bin by mistake, but I not one to miss the opportunities that present to me! It is a very pretty palette, with an unusual colour combo for Spring, that's why I think it's also perfect for Fall. Pink coral, white satin, pale green satin, and intense brown are the four shades you can see in the pans. The eyeshadows are baked, can be used dry or wet and are pretty pigmented. I think  the colours compliment each other but each colour could be the star of a look, which makes this palette a ersatile one. I love the satin finish of the shadows, it is my favourite finish!

This palette was featured in a blogpost where I also show you my first look created with it here. I haven't used it in a very long time and I thought the rich satin brown and the coral pink were going to be perfect for this transition from summer to Fall during September.

I have used only this palette for most of the month of September (except for the looks I had to do for reviews and challenges here in the blog or Instagram). There is one particular look that I loved so I recreated it to share it with you.

My transition look from Summer to Fall with "Tissé Fantaisie"

I have loved using this palette again, I definitely need my go to transition brown shade from MAC to make it work, but it is so worthy. This is my favourite look, using the coral pink on top of the brown to illuminate it and give such a wonderful sheen to it. I definitely will be reaching for it for a date night makeup look in the future.

What about you? Is there any piece of makeup in your beauty case that is not getting enough love? Let me know in the comments!

Love,
Nati
