Hello, my lovelies! Happy Friday!
I hope you had a lovely week. it's being super cold around here these days, so today's "Nail Stamping Sisterhood" challenge is the most appropriate, as the theme is "Arctic"! I've done many manicures with snow this season, so I thought to do something a bit different today. I don't usually do figurative nail art, I stick mostly to abstract shapes and patterns, but this time it seemed a good idea adding a cute polar bear on my nails! I hope you like it.
As I said I don't usually go for figurative nail art, I don't do handpainted characters, animals, cartoons, although they are very popular things to add to your manicure int he nailista community. But I prefer more abstract designs myself.
However, on this occasion, I chose to add a polar bear to my manicure.
The easy and quick instructions to recreate this manicure:
1) I painted my nails with two coats of light blue.
2) Once dry, I sponged a bit of pearl white polish on top of it to give it that "frosted" look.
3) I then stamped different snowflakes images on your nails using white colour.
4) I added a coat of white and sparkly glitter on a clear base to all my nails except the ring finger one.
5) On my ring fingernail, I added the image of a polar bear that I created with "reversed stamping". Basically, this technique consists of filling in your chosen stamping image. So I picked up my polar bear image using a blue stamping polish then I filled in the bear with white polish and blue for the scarf while the image was on the clear stamper. Finally, I carefully posed the image onto my nail.
6) I sealed my design with clear topcoat and tadaaa!
