Makeup │ Winter look in Marsala and Plum using Subculture palette

Feb 18, 2019

(Défilez vers le bas pour le Français)

Hello, my sweeties! Happy Monday?

I'm in such a good mood these days! It must be definitely thanks to the superb sunny weather we are having! It is still quite chilly, but the sky is clear blue which allows us to hope the Spring will not take long to arrive.

Today I have a new makeup look to share with you for the Monday Shadow Challenge. This week, we were supposed to combine "Marsala color" and "red" two of the trendiest colours this winter!! That was the plan, but in the end I changed my mind and ended up using two plum/wine colours for this look. I hope you like it.

Makeup │ Colored Smokey look for Fall with Modern Renaissance

Sep 10, 2018

(Défilez vers le bas pour le Français)

Happy Monday, my lovelies!
This weekend my husband and I caught the flu (or something) and were feeling under the weather. I called off ALL our weekend plans because I was feeling extremely tired and weak. I did nothing, and I even nap on the couch a little. It was a while since I last took it that easy. I completely emptied my mind and thought "anything else can wait" and I decided to have a rest. It felt so good and it did me so well, although I still have a sore throat I'm feeling with much more energy today.

Honestly, I don't know when this started, but at a certain point we started ignoring our bodies and taking medicines and pain killers to be able to go on with our lives, daily chores, activities, even the "fun things" we plan. When did "the plan" take a purpose on itself? When things and "to do" lists overcame the wellbeing of a human being? I realise I am very privileged to be able to say "I'm sick, I will stop and take care of myself". Half of the world can't do that. Even more than that, unfortunately. Have you been stopping to take care of yourself when you are feeling bad? It is a real luxe, but it is also an obligation.

Now, to the fun part: MAKEUP!! Today's makeup challenge with the "Monday Shadow Challenge" takes us to the "Autumn colour" territory, as we must use both "Marsala" and "Magenta" colours in our looks. I love these warm tone wine reds and pinks on me, as they make my green eyes pop. I did a coloured smokey using my beloved "Modern Renaissance" palette. I hope you like it :)

Makeup │Chic Look in Marsala with a Touch of Yellow Edginess [Monday Shadow Challenge]

Apr 23, 2018

Happy Monday, sweeties! How are you today?

I hope you all had a nice weekend! We were enjoying the nice weather outdoors, but I have to take it easy, because my allergies are such a pain, lol. Watery red eyes, itching throat and palate, running nose, constant sneezing, and now the headache! Are you allergic to pollen? how do you manage it? do you take medication?

Now let's get into makeup! This week the Monday Shadow Challenge proposed us to used "marsala and yellow" colours. Marsala is a kind of brownish wine red that was Pantone colour of the year a few years back, and when you think of wine red, the last thing that comes to mind to pair it with is yellow! This was really a challenge for me. Please, keep reading to find out what I came up with!
