I have been following for a few weeks an awesome makeup challenge done by a group of very talented French speaking bloggers, and (finally) decided to join them! So, today it is my first participation to the Monday Shadow Challenge, and the prompt for this week is Neon Orange.


The Monday Shadow Challenge was conceived by Séverine, from the blog Pimpante et Rafraichie. This is a weekly challenge with a colour prompt for inspiration, and I can't begin to tell you how amazing are the creations of other participants! From everyday wearable looks, to full body painting! It is seriously a kick in the creativity's butt, and definitely inspired me to join in.
For today's look I followed my instinct, and grabbed the first idea that came to my mind. When I read "Neon orange" I immediately thought "tropical": orange flowers, birds, fishes and fruits! So I decided to pair the orange to warm brown and see what happened. As I did not have a proper neon orange eyeshadow, I used a white base (NYX Jumbo eye pencil "Milk") where I used a very bright apricot shade and a medium shimmery orange from Catrice. I also chose to use brown eyeliner instead of black, to avoid high contrast and make it more wearable! In the rest of the face I went for no blush full on bronzer look and the perfect lippy for the combo and orangey-brown nude from NYX.

Je ne peux même pas vous expliquer les merveilleuses créations des autres participants! Dès looks pour tous les jours faciles à porter, à la peinture du corps entier! Il est sérieusement une bombe de créativité, et sans aucune doute cela m'a poussé à les joindre.

Pour le look d'aujourd'hui, j'ai suivi mon instinct, et j'ai saisi la première idée qui est venue à mon esprit. Quand j'ai lu "Orange néon" J'ai immédiatement pensé "tropical": des fleurs oranges, des oiseaux, des poissons et des fruits !. Je décidai donc de coupler l'orange au brun chaud et de voir ce que cela donnait. Comme je n'ai pas un fard à paupières orange néon, j'utilisé une base blanche (NYX crayon Jumbo "Milk") sur lequel j'ai posé une teinte d'abricot très vive que j'ai travaillé avec une couleur orange shimmery de Catrice. J'ai aussi choisi d'utiliser un eye-liner brun au lieu d'un noir, pour éviter un contraste trop marqué et rendre le look plus facil à porter! Dans le reste du visage, j'ai laissé le blush de coté pour miser plein sur la poudre bronzante Dior. Le rouge à lèvre parfait pour ce look est cet orangé-brun nude de NYX.

I like the final result, and I find it quite wearable! Well, maybe not everybody would wear a look this bright, but I actually wore it on Friday to spend the evening with friends and family. J'aime le résultat final, et je le trouve très facile à porter! Eh bien, peut-être pas tout le monde oserait porter un look comme ça.
