Empties │ The products I've used up recently vol. XXXV [Skincare & Makeup]
Jan 30, 2019
Hello, my lovelies!
January is almost gone and it's time for an "Empties" post!
I haven't shared with you my skincare and makeup "empties" since the beginning of September 2018, so I have lots and lots of products to talk about! However, not to bore you to death, I think I will split it for you and keep it to 9 products this time.
Without further ado, I suggest that we take a closer look at the products I've recently finished up!
Empties │ The products I've used up recently vol. XXXIII [Skincare & Makeup]
Sep 5, 2018
Hello, my lovelies!
Another month has begun and, as I usually do, I have emptied a few tubes and bottles and It's time to give you my feedback on those!
Just for clarification, because I got a few confusing comments and questions, my "Empties" article, is meant to share with you my feedback on products that I have either purchase myself (for the majority of them) or received as press samples and that I've used up completely. Many of the products I've received for free already have a full review on their own, but I featured them again for the simple reason that I believe they deserve it! Using a product fully can give a better idea of the performance and efficacity of a product (especially for those antiageing ones). In the seldom occasion, using up a product has made me change my mind about it!! I have ended up hating products that I initially loved, because they had some undesired effect or because I simply got tired of it, sick of their smell, etc. Sometimes, I ended up loving products that I initially hated because I found a way to use it better, or more adapted to me or simply because the product changed after a few uses! (mascaras that are too liquidy are a good example!)
I prefer reading reviews of "empty" tubes, rather than monthly favourites where influencers just gather all the press samples they got that month and you can tell some of the packagings are untouched, so you wonder "how can she have three different favourite foundations in a month?". Well, things that happen I suppose. This has been too chatty already, so I suggest that we take a look at the products I've recently finished up, shall we?
Makeup │ Soft and Luminous Look in Pink [Monday Shadow Challenge]
Mar 19, 2018
Happy Monday, my lovelies!
How was your weekend? I was feeling super weird on Sunday, sad, irritated, for no apparent reason, it was simply a general uncomfort that I couldn't pin down. I wanted to go out, but I felt very tired, I couldn't make up my mind about what I wanted to do. Something was bothering me but I was not able to tell what it was. I put up with this discomfort most of the day, blaming my new hormonal medication. Does this ever happen to you?
Other than that, I am quite certain by now that I am not the only one longing for SPRING, which seems to be playing hard to get. So the ladies from the Monday Shadow Challenge thought that a tad of pastel and soft colours would make this long winter taste a little bit like Spring, using "Pastel pink and silver". I hope you like it!

Hello my lovelies!
Last Spring I started a new series of posts in the blog about focusing on one makeup brand at the time, particularly those which call my attention or I find that deserve to be featured and shared with you.
On my first post in this series I've introduced you to a fairly new brand called Bronx Colors, but today I'm going to talk about a brand that may sound familiar to you it is Catrice Cosmetics.

Hello, beauties! How are you?
I hope your week started great! My boy was back to school this morning, the second year of kindergarten started today with many changes, since his school moved not only the building is different and further from home, so he'll be taking the school bus from now on (he's totally excited but also a bit worried to be late one day and the bus departs without him, LOL).
Let's get into makeup! Today is time for the "Monday Shadow Challenge" using the colors "Purple & Petrol Blue" this is such an interesting combo I thought to do something really bold, keep reading and tell me what you think about it!

Hello Sweeties! Bonjour! How have you started this week?
I'm very excited today because it's my hubby's b-day, (happy birthday darling! I know you're reading ♥). We won't be losing any time waiting for the next weekend and we'll go to dinner out with the family to a restaurant I've never been to. THAT is a very exciting plan in my life! Dinner out on a Monday? with the kids? who have school on the next day? R-e-v-o-l-u-t-i-o-n! haha, LOL.
Enough 'bout that, let's get serious, please. I am finally on my regular schedule again! As every Monday I have a new makeup look to share with you for the Monday Shadow Challenge. Today I'm presenting to you a quite glamorous look in midnight blue and gold that is appropriate for the upcoming Holiday season, usually charged up with dinners out, parties and reunions where we would love to look our best!

Hello Sweeties! Bonjour! How are you ?
It is unusual of me to be writing on a Saturday and even more to be showing a makeup look that should have gone live for the Monday Shadow Challenge two weeks ago! But I had done this makeup in Dusty Rose shade, I thought it was a very "me" look and I wanted to share it with you anyway.
Makeup │Fall look in Marsala [Monday Shadow Challenge]
Oct 17, 2016
Hello Sweeties! How are you today?
Today my boy re-starts school after three weeks of "Autumn-break", so we are going back to normal schedules, at least until Christmas Holidays. That means I will get a little more time for blogging properly again. I don't know if you have noticed I haven't been answering comments or reading a lot of other blogs lately (hangs head in shame). I apologize and I will try to catch up with those comments soon!
As every Monday, I have a new makeup look to share with you using the colour chosen for Monday Shadow Challenge. This week we are dipping into Marsala!
Makeup │Those days when less is more: Subtle Grey for the Monday Shadow Challenge
Aug 22, 2016
Bonjour les filles! Hello, my lovelies!
How was your weekend? Today is one of those days when less is more. I wasn't inspired by the colour proposed for this Monday Shadow Challenge or by any colour really. As makeup is for me a form of expression, I thought, why not showing this lack of inspiration too?
Monday Shadow Challenge: Tangerine sunset
Aug 15, 2016
Hello Sweeties! Bonjour!
Today is back to school in Switzerland and, although the weather is very sunny and warm, there is this sensation lingering in the air that the summer is over. I know in many places summer vacation time has only started, but I don't live it the same way in Switzerland, I already feel Fall is around the corner here. Does it happen to you too?
There's a thing I love about summer and that's sunset happening late enough for us to enjoy watching it. After our daily occupations, our minds can be free to watch the sky for a little while. Watching a sunset is such an inspiring moment! I couldn't help feeling a bit nostalgic while reflecting that the days got a lot shorter already and soon the sunsets will happen somewhen in the middle of our daily chores and I guess I will miss it.
That's what I was thinking of when I created this look for today. Although this Monday Shadow Challenge features a bright summery colour -tangerine-, my interpretation is a bit toned down. In fact I tried to do a Sunset inspired makeup. Shall we take a closer look?

September Makeup Bag
Sep 15, 2015
As you know I like to keep track of the makeup turnover and changes in the products I keep on my bag for daily makeup routine doing this monthly post. It is so fun to see how my simple everyday looks change with the seasons but simple choosing a different lipstick or blush! This month My makeup has definitely marked the end of summer and my choices have turned to more Fall like colours, without being too deep yet, but the feeling of Fall is definitely there! What do you think?
