Nail art │Designs for short nails: geometric shapes

Some of my friends always tell me "I wish I could do the same designs on my nails, but my nails are so short!". Are your short nails an excuse for not doing nail art? It shouldn't be!

As I've told you before, my summer vacation was harsh on my long nails and none of them survived. I had made several nail art designs while my nails were really short and shared them with you (you can check them all here). My nails have grown long and strong again since then (let me know if you want me to write on how I help them grow back fast!) but I still have a couple of designs especially thought for short nails to show you!

Geometric shapes and patterns look awesome on short nails!

The technique I used here is called "layered stamping". It consists in stamping several times on each with different motives. It is not a difficult technique but if you don't choose your colours or your motives well, or if you stamp without caring for the order of the stamping, the result can look very messy and unattractive. Read my tips on how to succeed layered stamping here

For today's manicure I started with a gorgeous sweet pink colour OPI Steady as she Rose, but you could choose any colour you like, geometric patterns and shapes are a great opportunity to go bold with your colour choice. I decided to combine it with blue, violet and yellow! I stamped using the MoYou London stamping plate #05 from Holy Shapes Collection and Moyou London polishes Chill out, Purple punch and Bahamas punch.

I'm happy with the result, I think they came out very 1980's!! What do you think of this manicure? Would you rock some geometric shapes on your nails? Don't hesitate to leave me a comment telling me how you feel about this!

Love,
Nati
