Hello everyone! I'm very excited today about joining my very first Nail polish challenge! I want to thank the lovely host of this challenge from the blog Beautiful living for letting me in with a little delay. Below is the theme list, there is no schedule really, so that's the main reason I've joined it! lol
For this first manicure I've used OPI Unfor-greta-bly blue, Mavala Electric Green, and some Essence rhinestones. This is how it looked in the end:
Below is my left hand where I tried Essence special effect "Mr & Mrs glitter" which is a clear base with blue green and black hex glitter, and let me tell you, it was not good.
The clear base was gloopy, near to unmanageable, and the glitter didn't come in the brush, I had to go "fishing it" and in the polish took ages to dry, and the moment I applied seche vite, it completely wrinkled!!!! Oh what a disaster. If you ever come accross this one, don't buy it, you'll waste your money.
I'm adding here below some pictures at an intermediate stage, before adding rhinestones and topcoat.
Judging by the amount of pictures, I'd say I was happy with this one, lol. The fact is WE FINALLY HAVE SOME SUNLIGHT!!! WOOOOO!
What do you think about this mani? I'll be glad to have your feedback!
Please, don't forget to check what the other participants have done to their nails to represent this battle!

Oh, this was gorgeous! You've done such a nice work! The color combination was great together, they fitted each other so great, like if they were meant to be together. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd I absolutely like the stars! The hex accent nail is also fun but sad that it wrinkled even though it doesn't show in the picture!
Fun you've started with nail art, you're good at it! :D
Thanks Gelic! Your words are so valuable for me,I'm very glad you liked it.
DeleteI LOVE this, Natalia! Its gorgeous in so many ways! I hate wrinkling polish but this looks great, I don't think we'd have known unless you said it had wrinkled! I am really excited to see what other looks you come up with for the other challenges, its such a fabulous choice of challenges too. That green was made to marry that blue :D xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Ithfifi! I'm ecxited too because I love doing nail art, is much fun! And it is thanks to the encouragement of you and my other lovely readers.
DeleteThis is real sharp - you taped it right? Love these 2 colours together. I've pinned you on my Pinterest board: Annie Suzie 'The Battle Nail Polish Challenge'. I know people who comment are not supposed to leave their link. Would you like me to email you so I can send you the link, to be included with the other participants?
ReplyDeleteHi Annie Suzie! Welcome and Thanks for reading my blog!
DeleteI haven't taped this, so if you enlarge the pic you'd sadly discover the flaws :( But I did choose a polish with a great formula, so it was easy free hand.
In my blog you can always leave links which are not commercial or not appropriate for all publics. I'm in the "sharing is caring" vague and can't understand people who forbid links, but you know each one is free of doing what (s)he likes. If you look closely, you'll see many of the thumbnails after my posts link to other blogs! sadly I don't know how to link to other sources (yet). I wish everybody would understand the main reason of blogging is sharing. Nobody stays in ONE blog forever!
Love this manicure and I'm not even a big fan of greens and blues!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cee Enzo! Be welcomed, and thanks for reading my blog!
Deleteoh my goodness!!! this is simply stunning!!!!!! what a gorgeous mani, and the colours go together so well.....and I love how you taped diagonally. Ok I really should rambling but I love it! Good work :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice comment! I've check your splattered nails, they're awesome!
Deletewow, it's stunning. love the blue-green combo!
ReplyDeleteThank you shine eye! I've visited your blog I'm following you now!
DeleteHi Natalia - I love this mani of yours!!! Blue and green are my favorites and throwing them together just make me swoon LOL. Now I also have Mrs and Mr Glitter and did not experience the same issues. Well the base gloppy but I had no issues loading them on a tooth pick and apply individually. I agree though on the problems when trying to "brush" them on. No issues with wrinkling - I used Essie Good to Go as Top Coat.
ReplyDeleteOh Christine, you must be such a patient person! The day I'd pick glitter with a tooth pick has not come yet! I just "slapped" it over lol.
