I have to tell my arrival to Argentina has been very moving and emotional, but unfortunate also :( as soon as we arrived me and my baby got sick and we're still trying to get over the temperature, the cough and it's pretty hard because we got air conditioning everywhere and that just makes it worse :(
So into the nails, I did this mani some weeks ago thinking about christmas, and I don't liked it at all. Well I kind of like the right hand but I think the left hand got too tacky and I defenitely will have to practice my fimo decoration a little more.
This is my right hand, which I could actually pull as a Christmas mani, but the left hand, ... well, I didn't plan the thing right, I just started adding one thing here, one other thing there, and in the end it was a disaster! I mean the result was too much.
I apologize I haven't been visiting or reading a lot of blogs, it's been hetic here with my baby ill and I was feeling crappy, saving all my energy to spend with my family!
Please, let me know your thoughts on this manicure. Do you like Fimo decorations? or you find them too childish?
Love,
Nati
Sad that you and your baby got ill when you're supposed to spend your energy on your family instead of being sick. Well, it's often like that, when we try to relax the virus comes from behind.. I'm having a cold right now and I seriously coughed all night true and kept me and my boyfriend awake..
ReplyDeleteYou know I like fimos and if they are childish, then I'm childish too. :D I think that the composition of the nail art is cool (like that they are hanging like christmas balls). However recently I've found my self liking the fimos that are round with a motive "painted inside" less than the ones that have the shape of what it is if you see what I mean? I think that they simply are harder to decorate the nail with because it's harder to see what they are imagining unless you're really close to the nails.
A nother fimo related thing is that I ordered winter and christmas fimos from ebay but they got lost in the post so now I have non. But I'll order new ones! :D
Hi Gelic! so sorry to hear you're poorly, I hope you'll get well soon.
DeleteThanks for reading, I like Fimos too, but I got some people telling me it was "childish" and things of the sort. Well, I know exactely what you mean about the Fimos shape, here I got little Santa like that, but the rest were round with the design inside and they just made me think about christmas trees balls, so that's why my decoration got so "loaded" lol.
Hope your Fimos will arrive on time to you! xx
You did an amazing job! I don't think it's really practical though (I'd mess up this mani in less than a day probably) but it's very pretty nonetheless :-)
ReplyDeletehi Melissa, thanks for your comment. You wouldn't believe how resistant this mani was!!! I used the glue provided by born pretty store with some rhinestones set, and I swear it lasted three whole days intact and took me some seriously soaking in acetone to remove!!

This looks fantastic!! Feel better Nati, both you and your baby!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ina!
DeleteHi Nati, what a shame that you and your little one got sick - I hope the two of you will be over it like tomorrow!!!! I think Christmas - just like Easter - call for playful, happy manis and if this is considered childish so what ;-)!!! You did an amazing job, particularly leaving your base neutral!!!! I totally love it :-)!!! I could probably only do my right hand (yes, I am lefthanded ;-)) Get well soon my dear, hugs xxx
ReplyDeletehi Christine! thanks for your sweet comment. We're feeling a little better already!
DeleteI've never seen those decorations before, they look cool! I love the stripes of red, green and white :) Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteHi citygirl907, so glad you read my post! In fact I haven't used white colours on this mani :) Just used Essie rock candy as a base, geen and red nail art polish from NYX.
DeleteHow cute are the fimos !! Never seen them before but they're sooo cute !! Oooh I hope you and your baby feel better soon. It sucks to be sick while travelling :(
ReplyDeleteHi Vicky! thanks for reading, and for your sweet comment.
DeleteI like fimos decorations but don't have much experience using them :P
This was soo pretty Nati!! :D
ReplyDeleteI've never tried fimo. What's it like to wear?
Get better soon!
Baci!

Hi Jezzica! I'm glad you liked it. Fimo is a pretty option I think for nails decoration, it is not completely uncomfortable as you may think and the glue really sticks the thing hard so you eventually forget you have them.
