Today I have one of my absolute winter favourites, I could even say of all times. It is Guerlain Crazy Terracota, a gorgeous face powder that was released in Guerlains Crazy Paris Collection for winter 2013-2014.
It was love at first sight. The composition of colours in the pan is so pretty and unique that was almost impossible not to fell for it. I have never tried a Terracota by Guerlain before and I must say it is hands down the best face powder I have ever used. The superfine texture makes it invisible on the skin, immediately illuminating the complexion, giving it a subtle touch of delicate rose peachy tan. It's obviously magic.
Crazy Terracota has the most glorious scent a powder can have, this is how Guerlain describes it :
The top notes reveal a joyful and cheerful accord of bergamot and mandarin. The heart takes over with the sunny, feminine notes of gardenia, jasmine and ylang-ylang, which play off the lightness of honeysuckle. In the dry-down, vanilla, blended with woody notes, gives this legendary scent all of its character and mystery
This gorgeous powder replaces three products for me, when I use it, I need no highlighter, no bronzer and no blush. I just sweep it on my cheeks and above my brow bone, it is all my winter complexion needs to come to life.
Have you tried this or any Guerlain Terracota powder? What do you think about it?
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Love,
Nati
Ahh, this is gorgeous! <3 I've never tried anything from Guerlain but have always wanted to try one of their highly praised bronzing powders.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nesita, I think if the bronzing powder should be one of their best at Guerlain, may be you should try!
DeleteThis one is one of my favorites at the moment too, love it. I use it more as a blush and I anyway never use Bronzer ;-) by the way, such a pretty look, also on the eyes, what have you used?
ReplyDeleteHi Sara! I'm glad you like the look, I was wearing Dior golden flower shades over Maybelline colour tatoo On and on bronze :)
DeleteHaven't tried Guerlain but this one looked great on you :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Gelic :)
DeleteBonito es seguro, esa sombra que usas también.
DeleteI just realized how great your skin looks, Nati. Very healthy and even and glowy! And yes, I know the powder probably helps a bit, but it can't be all Guerlain! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're too kind Melissa! In fact I followed one of your advices, I got the Foreo Luna for my Bday and I've been using it twice per day since then. I thought the Luna would be better for me than the clarisonic. I'm also using a new Lancôme serum since November and it might also help. What's not very fun is my repeated breakouts on my cheeks! it's a nightmare :(
DeleteI wear this all the time! Not as a blush though. It requires a bit too much layering for it to show up as a blush on me. It does work REALLY well as a bronzer, because it doesn't look like a bronzer and therefore it's never out of place!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean Sunny, but I skip blush and use this when I want a fresh natural looking complexion, it work every time :)
DeleteSalut Nati, beautiful!!! And I remember facial powders always being a strenght of Guerlain!!! I bought them already way back in the eighties.... These days I skip the terracota league - I find my skin is too white to get away with bronzed products and rather dust on a thin layer of Rouge - have a wonderful start of the week - Bisous xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine, but yust so you know, Crazy terracota is nowhere bronze on the face :O It's peachy/pink, and very, very subtle. More like a voile of rouge than a bronzer really :)
DeleteBisous ma biche, xxx
Bonita la sambra tambien
