Hello my sweeties! how are you today? I have a great product to share with you today, is a set from Radical Skincare, a new to me brand, featuring two wonderful face products, a multi brightening serum and a Skin perfecting sun screen SPF 30, both have really surprised me. Do you want to find out why?
Being honest, I've never used or heard about Radical skincare before. So I was not expecting anything in particular when I received this set for testing. I got some information on their site about an innovating concept they call TRYLACEL technology, that basically means their skincare range combines three basic components: antioxidants, anti-aging and repairing with soothing and calming elements. What was in this set? Let's see:
Radical Skincare Multi Brightening Serum
I've struggled to get a more luminous complexion all my adult life, but with all I'm enduring lately my skin is at its worse state ever so this product comes to me just in the right time. I assure, you to give luminosity to my face is quite a challenge these days.
This is a very lightweight serum that I've used twice a day after cleansing and before my moisturizer for the past two weeks. It is scent free and gives a refreshing sensation when applying it, and it also sinks in very quickly so it does not make my routine longer.
The serum comes in a chic glass tube with a glossy plastic pump that pops when you turn the cap. I really like the packaging.
The list of ingredients is amazing, the serum contains very natural ingredients and no bleaching or agressive agents. It has Vitamin C which is great antioxidant, helps fight sun damage, reduces melanin concentration, and boosts collagen production. It also has Algae extract which has a tightening effect on the skin and salicylic acid, which acts as an exfoliator, helping eliminate dead cells, which are one of the greatest cause of dullness.
The claim:
- fades dark spots and fights pigmentation disorders
- More even complexion, more radiant skin
- Brown algae extract to inhibit melanin production and transfer, Sea lily to control transportation, inhibition of dendrites, A vegetal exfoliant to accelerate spot reduction and improve skin radiance
Sounds nice, doesn't it? But does it do what it claims?
I saw a difference after the first application. My face looked immediately brighter, and after a week, the marks of old blemishes were definitely lighter. Much lighter. Usually those marks still show through foundation and take very long to disappear. After two weeks my complexion has visibly improved. I have tried other serums (Dreamtone, I'm looking at you) that were supposed to do the same, but did not work at all for me, even after months of use.
Do I expect or hope this serum will blur away my birth spots? Well, not really. I know those will only go away with laser light treatments that I'm not fond of. So the birth spots can stay.
Do I feel satisfy with the general appearance of my skin resulting from using the serum? You bet!!
This is a lightweight sunscreen that comes in a squeeze tube. I've been using it daily after my moisturizer for the past two weeks. I have not worn much make up these days, other than a light BB creams, so I can't say if this is appropriate to be worn under foundations. I might test that later.
It is a very lightweight pale pink lotion that looks slightly iridiscent when it comes out of the tube. It goes totally clear on the skin. I'm impressed how thin it is. No scent, no tint, super comfortable on the skin. This is a mineral sunscreen whose active ingredients are Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Two very well known mineral sunscreens. The lotion also contains diamond powder, which is supposed to reflect light dissimulating wrinkles and imperfections.
The claim:
- Providing daily SPF30 protection against UV rays in town and in the country, with a powerful antioxidant complex.
- Providing the appearance of a healthy glow, enriched in light-reflecting pigments. These pigments are contained in an encapsulated photoluminescent diamond core and are capable of redirecting light. Wrinkles and imperfections appear less pronounced.
In total honesty, I do not think the diamond powder dissimulates or blurs any of my imperfections. I would definitely need some concealer over this to hide imperfections. However, I do notice an ever so slight iridescence on my face right after application, like the one some makeup primers have. As a sunscreen I have no complaints. It has flawlessly protect my face even outdoors.
You can find out more about Radical Skincare in their site. The radical glow set contains smaller versions of the full size products and it is available in Switzerland at selected Jelmoli and Manor stores.
Which are your skin concerns nowadays? do you use any face serums? which is your go to sunscreen? do you care for diamond powder in the ingredients of your skin care? Let it all out!
Love,
Nati

DeleteI've tried these too. I used up the whole sunscreen bottle when I was in Greece and I quite liked it. And in three weeks' time I also used up the whole Brightening Serum. I liked it. My dark spots didn't disappear, but at least they didn't worsen either.
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa, thank you for your comment! I like the sunscreen too, today I'm trying it under foundation and I'm happy so far. I think I like the serum better, too bad I've almost finished.
