Hello, lovelies! How are you today?
Last Fall my hubby traveled to the US during Thanks Giving period and he took advantage of the Black Friday sales. He asked me "what is one thing you'd like" (he is so sweet and generous always!) I immediately thought of this palette! I have been wanting it ever since it was launched because I love the range of colours in it and the quality is outstanding! Many would think this is a palette for Fall or Winter because of the deep berry and orange hues, but I think this palette can be used all year round regardless of the season. So today I decided to show you a Spring makeup look I created using only this palette.
My thoughts on the palette
What can I say about this palette that haven't already been said ? If you want the most accurate review (in my opinion), please, check Stephanie Nicole's video. She's very professional and her review further convinced me I needed this palette.
The shadows in this palette are ALL of exceptional quality. It is the best quality in my personal collection (as of yet). The palette is extremely consistent, there are no dudes, all the colours are excellent. Super pigmented, buttery soft, creamy, there is no fall out, they blend easily and the don't stain the skin.
The palette is also very well composed and balanced with matte and shimmery colours, light and dark hues. In summary, if you like warm shades like oranges and reds, you absolutely need this palette.
How to
For this look I used Buon Fresco and Cyprus Umber in the crease and outer corner of the eyes. In the center of the mobile lid I applied Venetian red and blended it with Vermeer towards the inner corner.
In my lover lashline I used Cyprus Umber and Love letter, to balance the eyeshape.
I drew the thinest black liner line on my upper lashline and I used a light coloured eye crayon in my water line and lots of mascara. I filled in my eyebrows with Cyprus Umber and I was super impressed!
On the face I applied two shades of pink blush (lighter and darker) and light pink lipgloss on the lips.
Unfortunately the Spring decided to take the day off (maybe the week?) and the lighting was not ideal. My photos do not do justice to the beauty of the shades on the skin. I did my best to try and show you how the shades blend together in perfect armony.
Unfortunately, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palettes is not available in Switzerland yet, but it can be purchased from different International retailers:
It currently is available at Beauty Bay !!
What do you think of this look? Have you heard of this awesome palette before? Let me know in the comments!
Love,
Nati
