Hi my lovelies! I hope you had a nice weekend and you've plenty of energy to start the week. Today is Day 4 of the 33DChallenge and it's time for some Tribal nails. I honestly prefer to call them Ethnic nails or something of the sort. I don't like the word tribal, but that's just me :)

I had planned this mani in a certain way, but my first attempt was HORRIBLE! So I removed the nail polish and started again. I decided I would not impose a design to myself so I gave in to improvisation and started adding lines and dots here and there to make it seem a little Ethnic. An this was the result.

I started with two coats of the pretty Mavala Blue curaçao and did the decorations using some striping tape, LA Color Art deco liners in black and white, Mavala Victoria for the orange-y red (which looks weird over the turquoise base) and OPI Suzi says Feng Shui for the teal-blue details. I then topped it all with one coat of Essence BTGN top sealer, which has got kind of gloopy because I'm reaching the bottom of the bottle.

It was much fun once it was done, I tell you it was quite a difficult manicure for me, and I still have so much to improve in this kind of designs, specially doing it by using a thin brush like the liners have does not make it easy to draw small details. So, certainly a CHALLENGE, lol! I might have to get one of those nail art pens, are they easy to use?
What do you think of Ethnic manicures? do you like this kind of patterns? Do you think they're worth all the work?
Do not forget to take a look at the creations of my co-challengers listed here below!
Love,
Nati
