Hello my lovelies! All ready and set to start the week?
Today is day 19 of the 33 days challenge and the prompt is "follow a tutorial". I had so many tutorial to choose from, because each time I see one I pin it and say "I absolutely have to try that"! After hesitating a while I chose real feather nails! I followed the tutorial by The Nailasaurus and this is what it turned out:
For this manicure I first painted two coats of OPI Stranger tides, which I absolutely love by itself. Then following Sam's intructions I trimmed and placed the feathers on the nails adding several coats of topcoat. I've used 3 coats of Poshé fast dry topcoat. Then waited for it to dry and finally filed the excess off. I liked so much the base colour that I decided to leave two nails without feathers, and I kind of like it this way. It was terribly overcast these days, so my pictures are a little dull, but you get the idea anyway don't you?
If you're wondering, I got my feathers (only 6) as a gift from a nail supply boutique called "What the flock", I entered a giveaway, which I didn't win, but the lady decided to send me the prize anyway! It was a sample bottle of a real gold leaf topcoat named Tombe of Djier. Long story short the bottle arrived into pieces the polish was all over, and the lady was so kind to re-send me a second sample bottle along with many other goodies (including these feathers)!! So that's it if you want to check What the flock nail art supply they have a facebook page here.
Please, let me know what you think about this mani, and don't forget to check out the other lovely nail designs listed below!
Love,Nati
P.S. Only 2 days left to enter my giveaway! Hurry up!
