Hello, sweeties! Today is my little princess first birthday :) I can barely believe it's been already one year since she came to our lives, and to see her pics from one year ago, and see how much she's changed and grow, just melts my heart with joy. We will be throwing a family party on Sunday in her honor, I'm already busy in preparation of the event so the blogging scheduled was a bit disturbed for the beginning of the week.
Let's keep things going with the blogging: today I have a new manicure to show you, it's a floral nail art using nail water decals with flower pattern from Born pretty store.

Love,
The water decals have a lovely pattern of tea roses (my favorite) in different shades, from white to deep rose. The decals come in a paper sheet and they're printed in rectangular shapes which are supposed to fit your 10 fingernails. On the downside I think the predefined widths could not be appropriate for every nail size. In fact, they look a little narrow. They ended up covering well my nail widths, except on the thumb, where I used the largest size, but there's still 2 mm gap.
My manicure is very simple and quickly done! I started with two thin coats of Sally Hansen Winter ski and wait for it to dry. I then removed the plastic protection from the decals sheet and cut out the rectangles that were the closest size to that of my nails, I wanted to jazz up things a little and cut out a half moon shape on one of them. Then, put them in a cup with water to soak for about 15 seconds.
When the decals started to peel from the paper by themselves and float, I picked them with tweezers and placed them on the nails, I pressed with a cotton pad for a couple of seconds. Finally I sealed the manicure with one coat of topcoat and placed some rounded crystal rhinestones.
I like the final result, although I think my nail polish base is too dark and I should have used either clear or white polish on the nails I intended to place the water decals so that the true colours would show. I know better for next time! The nail water decals with flower pattern come in 4 different patterns to choose from and are in offer for only 1.67 USD (down from 2.38 USD) at Born pretty store.
