The past long winter has been rough on my dry skin. I've been religiously using and improving my skincare routine all through the winter, to keep up with my skin needs and trying to make it look its best. If you follow me, you've been certainly reading all my skincare reviews. Today I'd like to chat with you about one of my latest discoveries: the "One step Moisture Up Kit (3 in 1)"* from the Korean brand COSRX. If your skin had gone through rough times the past winter, then my review might interest you too.

Today I am presenting to you the CosRX One step Moisture Up Kit that I received from the online store BoOonBox  for my honest review. Without further ado, let's take a look at it!

CosRX One Step Moisture Kit (3 in 1)


Claim

This 3 in 1 kit combines: Cleanser + Moisture Up pad + Mask Pack, and it claims to Replenish your skin moisture for all-day hydration, smooth skin texture and provide a flawless canvas for makeup.
The COSRX One Step Moisture Kit comes with the 3 famous products of COSRX geared towards treating dry and dull skin. It is convenient and travel-friendly and gives you a chance to try the 3 products before buying the full sizes.

STEP 1: cleanse with COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser: a mild cleanser formulated to maintain low pH level, soothes, refreshes and soften the skin without stripping natural skin oil.

STEP 2: follow with an extraordinary moisture pad: COSRX One Step Moisture Up Pad: this is a pad, presoaked in hyaluronic acid that replenishes skin moisture. Consistent use of this pad will smooth skin texture  providing a perfect canvas for flawless makeup

STEP 3: relax and enjoy with COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask: formulated with snail mucin that provides extra moisture and nourishment to tired and dull skin.

Packaging

The packaging is very smart, the slim pouch is divided in three sections, each of which contains a different product, perfectly sealed. It is also very easy to stripe to open, which I appreciate You can find all the information you need in English on the packaging which is a big plus for me as I don't speak Korean! :)
This is an excellent product for people who travel, so that you have all you need without having to carry full sizes!

Application

The 3 in 1 kit advises to wash your face with the cleanser first, use the hyaluronic pad second, and thirdly apply the snail mask.
I tweaked the order of these steps because it didn't sound logical to me to apply the mask after the hyaluronic pad. Also, the cleanser was adviced to be used in the morning, and I usually apply makeup in the morning after my skincare, which I doubt I could do having used the mask.
So here is what I did:
I applied the snail mask in the EVENING, after removing my makeup, thoroughly cleansing and toning my skin with my regular products. I apply the mask for 20 minutes, right before bed.
The next morning, I used the cleanser and the One Set Moisture Up pad, it worked perfectly for me!


COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask 


The COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask included in this pack is one of the best sheet masks I've tried at this price point in terms of quality of the tissue. It is really supple and thick, it contains a very large amount of serum and it adheres to the face impeccably. All the holes suit my eyes, nose and mouth quite precisely, which is not a minor detail! (It is not fun having to cut out bigger holes for the eyes or for mouth!).
I am not new to snail sheet masks, snail secretion is an ingredient that I've learnt to love, it improves my skin amazingly, so I had pretty high hopes.
The serum in it is refreshing but it doesn't feel tingly or any weird feeling on my sensitive skin. I left the mask on for 20 minutes and it was very pleasant. After removing the mask, there was still so much essence on my face, that even though I pat, then massage it for over a minute into my skin, it wouldn't absorb. It was really a lot of product.
Instead of washing my face and wasting the effect of the mask, I decided to leave the essence on my face as a "sleeping mask", because it was bed time for me. I still massage the product a couple of times and noticed it was slowly penetrating in the dermis. The next morning when I wake up, the product had sunk in completely and my face looked and felt amazing. Super soft, smooth as baby cheeks, hydrated, bright. Everything I was hoping. So this was no surprise to me because I had use similar Snail masks with equally great results.

  • apply sheetmask and let it sit for  15-20 mins. 
  • Remove and pat in remaining essences
  • follow with a moisturizer of your choice

COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

This is a mild cleanser formulated to maintain low pH level, soothes, refreshes and soften the skin without stripping natural skin oil. As I explained before, I preferred to use this cleanser in the morning, exactly because it claims to be gentle.
As you know, our skin regenerates during the night, for that reason it is not recommended to use aggressive agents in the morning, or to exfoliate, becase you'll be stripping all the "work" your skin have achieve suring the night. Especially when you use a sleeping mask, like I did.
I really appreaciated this cleanser, which I found very mild and gentle, it perfectly cleanse my skin, without aggressing it, leaving it feeling smooth but not dry or tight. The cleanser has a strong herbal scent, I can recognize eucalyptus in it. It is very refreshing, but if you don't like herbal scents, then you should keep that in mind and skip this product. The smell doesn't stays on the skin though, it deploys while you wash.

COSRX One Step Moisture Up Pad

It is the very first time I use this kind of product. This is a pad, presoaked in hyaluronic acid that replenishes skin moisture. Consistent use of this pad will smooth skin texture  providing a perfect canvas for flawless makeup

I thought, wrongly, this woud be like a toner, to be followed by a serum. Well, no! This is a serum, and more than a serum, a completemoisturizing routine in one pad. I usually pile up two serums and a day cream before my makeup. With this pad, I only applied sunscreen. This is so deeply moisturizing, I never used something quite like it, it actually blew my mind! I think I will be soon investing in the full size for this pads. I can perfectly see my self using this pads instead of a whole moisturizing routine this summer, specially on those very hot days when you really don't wish to rub a day cream to your face. I think this is actually a genius product and only after one use, my dry skin stay hydrated the entire day! It's a keeper!

  • using the rough side of the pad, swipe all over face except around eyes, 
  • now turn the pad to the softer side and swipe again to catch all dirt
