Happy Monday, sweeties!
Spring break started today here in Biel and all we can think of is our much awaited trip to Rome! The countdown has started! Have you ever been to Rome?
Today, it's time for a new Monday Shadow Challenge. This time I've created a softer look for spring, to change a little bit after all my bright crazy looks lately, LOL! The colours for the challenge are "Dusty Rose" and "Warm Brown", I'd say this is one very wearable look, check it out!
For this look I used:
Face/ Visage:
- Couleur Caramel Dark Circle concealer (BIO) #08
- Maybelline Fit me Concealer #20
- Catrice Even Skintone Beautifying Foundation #030
- Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre #22 Rose Clair
- NYX Professional Makeup Matte Bronzer "Medium"

The Monday Shadow Challenge has prompted us to use "dusty rose" and "warm brown" for our makeup looks of this week. So I decided to use a one of my most used palettes the "Modern Renaissance" by Anastasia Beverly Hills. This palette is such a versatile one, all the colours are super wearable and flattering. I chose to use the dusty rose colour named "Buon Fresco"(matte) and the warm brown "Cyprus Umber" (matte) which are the perfect colours for this challenge. I put a couple other colours of the same palettes in the mix, too, especially a trick I do to illuminate my look: adding a sheer shimmer on top of the eyeshadow to make it more luminous!
Useful tip!
Matte eyeshadows look very chic, but for girls 35+ this can be a double edged sword! Especially dusty or muted colours like the ones I'm using today, can make you look tired, because they basically take away the luminosity of your skin. If that is not what you want, then you may try applying a sheer shimmer in the cente and inner corner of your eyelids and your look will completely change!
Remember, this is not a rule, just a suggestion! Of course, you can wear whatever colour combination and HAVE FUN!
Please, you can find a list of all the products I used just above. Let me know if you'd like a video tutorial on this look!

It feels good to wear makeup in softer tones for once! I like the color rendering and I think it would be an appropriate makeup for any occasion.
Let me know if you would like to see a video tutorial about this look!
Now, I invite you to go check the creations of my challenge mates on the Facebook page of the challenge.
