With New Converse Capsule to Match
OPI announces a bold new collection for Summer 2019, complete with Converse to match. This electric-charged collaboration features Converse One Star slides plus Chuck Taylor All Star Hi and Ox silhouettes in shades to match new Neons by OPI nail lacquers, available in a fun and playful palette including bold neon hues of yellow, orange, purple, teal, blue and hero shade pink.
“As two iconic brands known for enabling self-expression through color, the partnership was a natural match,” explains OPI co-founder and brand ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “We’re excited to enable consumers to shop for footwear in OPI’s most vibrant colors of the season.”
Inspired by by electronic dance music (EDM), Neons by OPI shades are bright, bold, statementmaking hues. Converse One Star slides in bright hues of pink (V-I-Pink Passes) and teal (Dance Party ‘Teal Dawn) feature a bright monotone aesthetic with patent leather uppers. The Chuck Taylor Hi is available in bold shades of pink (V-I-Pink Passes) and blue (Music is My Muse) while the Ox is available in neon purple (Positive Vibes Only) and yellow (PUMP Up the Volume). The shade names are inscribed on Converse’s iconic vulcanized rubber sole.
“Our fresh, vivid neon nail lacquer shades are the perfect hues for summer footwear,” adds WeissFischmann. “Now you can match your tone-on-tone sandals or the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star with your perfectly polished manicure and/or pedicure for a playful look!”
The Neons by OPI will be available in GelColor, Infinite Shine and Nail Lacquer formulas (PUMP Up the Volume (yellow) and Music is My Muse (blue) will be available in GelColor and Nail Lacquer formulas only). GelColor provides a salon-perfect finish with up to three-week wear, while Infinite Shine offers a high-shine finish and traditional lacquer application. Nail Lacquer features a highly-pigmented, rich formula for even application without streaking.
The Converse capsule will be available globally from Converse.com and select retailers, such as Schuh in the United Kingdom and Journeys in the U.S
