NOTD: Chanel Le Vernis 563 Vertigo

Oct 20, 2012

My sweet husband has been to the US on September, and guess what he got me?
A bunch of Chanel's Fall collection goodies including the beautiful Chanel's brown polish for Fall 2012 563 Vertigo! It took me a while of admiring the bottle before I decided to actually wear it!

Essence 24h hand protection balm Winter Edition

Oct 19, 2012

I was hanging around at Manor when I spotted these. It is the third year on a raw that Essence makes a hand balm limited edition for winter and this year they come in the following scents:

-Gingerbread Chai Latte: ginger is the outstanding scent in this balm, I can smell something else, not sure is chai latte though. Spicy.
-Caramel Hot Chocolate:  it really smells like powder chocolate with a very slight hint of caramel. Sweet.
-Apple Cinnamon Punch: delicious apple scent with a hint of cinnamon. My favourite of the three. Fruity.

Essence claims:"This is an intensive repair care for particularly rough dry hands. The repair formula with shea butter and coconut oil provides moisture & care and protects your hands from dryness for up to 24 hours does not leave an oily residue"

To be honest I only picked the Caramel hot chocolate first, tried it, and then went back to pick the other two! These are rich, and take a little of time to be absorbed by skin. Eventually you won't feel your hands greasy but it takes a while. I suffer from terribly dry hands during winter, so these are a good option for me! I wouldn't know if they really last 24h because I'm actually washing up all the time, and re-applying hand creams. But my hands feel nice and comfortably moistured so far.
I've payed 1,95 CHF each, but I think the recommended retail price is 0,95€.

Have you tried any of these yet? What are your favourite hand balms for winter?

Sharing is caring: new plugg in for my blog

Image representing Zemanta as depicted in Crun...

Hello dear readers! Yesterday, I got a new plug-in for my browser named Zemanta. I'm still trying this out, but the main reason I got it is because Linkwithin is not working on my blog :(
After I tried several times to have some support from their part, I finally decided to search for some other tool that would keep my older posts visible.

I found Zemanta which is also "a blog dashboard assistant". Which means that it suggests you links and contents for writing your post. Naturally I don't need that, because I take my own pictures and I give my own opinion, but sometimes is fun to include links in case someone might be interested in knowing more details about something.

What I find really cool about this thingy, is that the thumbnails and links to other posts that you see at the bottom of a post, may not be always your own! This means that when you're advising your readers to read other posts, these post might belong to someone else. So you're also contributing bringing visitors to your pears.

I think Blogging is all about sharing. Each one of us is nothing without the readers, and we have to admit no reader will stay forever in a blog. Promoting quality related posts of OTHER bloggers? I'M ALL IN!
I will be, then, recommending what I think to be quality posts of other bloggers I follow. Therefore, if you don't want your posts to be promoted here, please say so and it will be removed.

Love,
Nati

Manhattan Only Jeans Teens Eyeshadow

I'm such a sucker when it comes to Drugstore brands themed collections, because they look so cute and affordable! No mention that many time you get pretty good quality products as well.
So, here is what I spotted a couple of weeks ago or so, The colours on this eyeshadow quad looked so bright, and there were 3 mattes and one yellow, I had to pick it!

There is no special reason to post this,  except I just love this colour so much! I have a pair of shoes in patent leather that match this polish (not exactly but closely enough), and I loooooove it.

Nail Art for Fall: Golden Leaves

Oct 17, 2012

As I told you in my previous post, I caught the nail art fever. This is my very first nail art using other than toothpicks and I'm very excited to show you what I did! I'm really inspired by Fall, is my favourite season because of the colour changing landscape, this transformation is very beautiful, specially in the vineyards next to the lake where I live. So, I've chosen to do some sparkling leaves using

Essence nail art Haul

So, I got the nail art fever. After some unsuccessful trials using toothpicks and stuff like that, I decided to buy me a little bit of help.
I didn't wanted to spend a fortune, and I went for Essence nail art products because they seem to have a nice variety of things for a good price. I spent around 20 CHF (22 USD approx.) for what you see in the picture. I got a doting tool, a "Designer set" which includes three sponges and a liner brush, stickers, french guides, some hexagonal glitter (my first!!), a set for nail art newbies (like me!) call "colour and change"and a multi sparkling topcoat. Some of the items were marked "new" so that makes it all very exciting!
I'm determined to give it a try, so if you're interested in seeing what I might do with these, please stay tuned.
Love,
Nat
