What I'd like to show you today is my first Valentine's Day manicure of this year. It's a simple grey and white manicure with some vintage melancholic air. For this mani I used Essence Get Arty as a base, and stamped on it with white konad special polish using Konad plate m-65 for the roses pattern.
Later on I stamped with konad red wine special polish and plate m2 the hearts with the Love inscription.
The Essence polish was also kindly sent to me by my Polish Fairy Christine from Polished Marvels. I stupidly forgot to take a picture of the polish itself, but it's a gorgeous shade of grey with orange flakies. Really pretty, though my pictures don't show all the beauty of it. You can also win this shade on my giveaway! you can still enter here if you haven't already.
I eventually thought this mani needed some spice-up, and ended up dabbing Essence special effect topcoat in Purplicious on the tips of my nails. This one was also sent to me by Christine! Isn't this lady just awesome!
Please let me know your thoughts about it! What are your plans for Valentine's day?
Love,
Nati
Ciao Nati!! :D

You look great in grey shades! Honestly!!!
As a florist I'll be working my a-- off on Valentines Day... Selling thousands of red roses. It will be tough but fun I hope ;)
Baci!

Hi Jezz! Oh, well, someone has to do the magic behind all those beautiful bouquets!
DeleteThanks for the compliment, but I KNOW grey is not my best friend. Anyway, it is still a lovely polish!
baci!xxx
Ohhh sooo adorabale, I love it. So cute with the flowers and the hearts! <3
ReplyDeleteHi Nati, oh my dear friend - this polish is AWESOME on you!!! The stamping is incredibly pretty and the glitter is the icing on the cake!!! I am at least as happy as you that you like the stuff I sent you!!! Rest assured, it was not the last time xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Christine! I'm happy you liked it!
DeleteLove, xxx
Lovely mani for Valentine's Day !! Look at that awesome stamping job :)
ReplyDeleteOh Vicky! thanks so much, I appreciate this comment coming from you! I consider you the bombastic queen of stamping!!
DeleteI'm jealous of your stamping skills. This looks so nice with your skin tone.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley! If you only knew how hard is to me to get stamping well done!
DeleteLovely mani! I don't have any plans for Valentine's Day, it was never a special day for me. Besides, my BF will be snowboarding that week, so no use in making plans...
ReplyDeleteHi Aglaya! You know, when I was in Argentina I didn't even know this day existed (that was at least 18 years of my life!) there the "lovers day" is the 21 september. But my hubby cares a lot for this date, so it has become somewhat "special"...
DeleteThis manicure was amazing! So well done work with the stamping and the chose of colors! I loved this! And I certainly got the vintage feeling. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have any plans for valentines day sadly. My boyfriend isn't that interested celebrating it. He figures that every day is "special" and last year added that he doesn't like buying flowers. He's not the romantic type, he has a lot of other positive sides though. last year I bought him flower and I'll see if he gets the hint this year. :)
Oh, Gelic, thanks for the compliment! I understand your boyfriend, many guys are like that because they think romanticism is superficial and is for girls. Let's hope he'll bring you roses this time! ;)
DeleteSo pretty! Although I think I would like it even better without the red "Love"added to it.
