Here I am again on a Thursday instead of a Friday, because tomorrow it's my eldest's birthday! Yes, my sweet boy is turning 8 and this mum can't even believe it yet! I'm currently in the making of his cake and thought to keep this post short and sweet so I can go back to the preparatives for his party tomorrow.

I've been repeating that I'm not one to follow trends blindly, but this is a trend that I adopted because it is so "me". I'm currently in Rome for a Short Spring Break with my family, So far things aren't happening exactly as planned, my son caught some stomach bug and he's been sick all day. Hubby hit the pharmacy and got some medicine for our son's tummy, fingers crossed he'll be feeling better tomorrow! You see this trip was a present for our son, we actually came all the way here to see a football game tomorrow, we have tickets to the stadium to support my son's favourite team, so it will be really not cool if he couldn't attend! Please, keep your fingers crossed for him getting well soon!!

What a beautiful sunny day we are having today! We've been out and about with the children enjoying the sun I hope you are enjoying it too.
The first week of Spring is usually as disappointing as very much attended. But this year, it seems the nice sunny weather is right on time with the season changing! Today I went out and had a walk without a jacket!! It was sooooo nice.

Hello, sweeties, Happy Friday!

How has your week been? mine has been exhausting! Coming back to the routine after 3 weeks vacation has been so hard. Especially restarting my gym workout which has left me with sore muscles and aches for days. Other than that I've been procrastinating ironing the 6 loads of laundry I did on Monday, lol. So this evening I'd probably catch up with that while watching some TV, yay exciting plan for a Friday evening! LOL

Let's talk about nail art now! "When Colors Collide" nail art challenge this week prompted us to create manicures in "blue, pink and purple" and only these colours. As I'm already longing for Spring, I came up with a pretty soft design and I hope you like it!

Hello, my lovelies! Happy weekend!

I am finally home! I arrived yesterday from Argentina and had planned to post here, but I couldn't because I was terribly jetlagged. It was awful! We had our flight at noon on Thursday and flew for 14 hours arriving in Zurich on  Friday morning. But in order to be on time at the airport, the driver thought it was a good idea to depart from home at 4am on Thursday. Meaning we had to get up at 3 am, which actually meant that I caught less than 3 hours sleep, of course. Little I knew those three hours of sleep on Wednesday, would be last sleep I'd get until arriving home on Friday.
Needless to say, we were exhausted! Still trying to fix our body sleeping and eating rythms today.

Luckily I had one more manicure ready to share with you! This time it is not about a Nail art challenge, but the manicure I wore during my two first weeks in Argentina. I chose to create something that would be appropriate for winter and also summer, so I came up with a floral look. I hope you like it!

Today the Nail Crazies Unite challenged us to create a "Neon floral"  manicure! I love, love, love neon colours on nails. They are bold, bright and fun. The neon colours remind me of summer and that puts me right away in a good mood.
This is my take on "neon floral" nail art, I used a different technique to create my background, this is the "smoosh" technique, keep reading to find out more about it!

This weekend we were challenged by the "26 Great Nail Art Ideas" group to make a design inspired by the End of Summer. I didn't have much time to do this manicure but I knew I wanted to use one of the New OPI Iceland Collection polishes. I am very excited about this weekend, oh, I know the weather will be bleh! but we will be celebrating our daughter's second birthday with our closest friends. I haven't had the opportunity to catch up with my bestie in MONTHS! Yes, I know... life is so hectic. She's got a full schedule, a demanding job, 3 kids, I also have a pretty full schedule (but mostly just jynx), it seems we only meet at b-day parties, so I'm throwing one just for the purpose of spending time with her!
