Hello my lovelies! How was your weekend? The weather was not great around here and it is still cloudy and rainy, so to cheer me up, I have a nice Spring- themed manicure to share with you using one of the Barry M shades my hubby brought me from England: these are hand painted Cherry blossoms!

For this manicure I first applied two coats of Barry M Huckleberry, which I loved by itself, by the way! It is super glossy even without topcoat, take a look:

I have wanted to do a cherry blossom nail design for a very long time, but my list of nail art to try is sooo long that I never got a chance to do it until today. So to do things right, I decided to recreate the beautiful version of this nail art by the lovely Paulina from Paulina's passion blog here.

To achieve my mani I used a very thin nail art brush and OPI How Great is your Dane, a brown creme, to design the branches of the cherry tree (Please feel free to click on the picks to enlarge). Then, with a dotting tool and two shades of pink, Barry M Kiss me quick and Zoya Eden I created the flowers. Finally using the brush again and Zoya Tilda I painted some very small leaves. I applied a coat of Essence Better than gel nails topcoat and that was it! Quite simple, isn't it?

Overall I'm satisfied with this manicure and it really is cheering me up, I love trees in full bloom, and cherry blossoms are sooooo pretty (as also are peach blossoms, or almond blossoms, or magnolias, or so many other beautiful trees!).

What do you think of this manicure? Would you wear something like this on your nails? Please, let me know your thoughts!

Love,
Nati
