Hello, sweeties! How are was your weekend?
It's time for another letter in the "ABC challenge", today is the turn to show you an untried nail polish starting with "S". My choice for today is a well-known salon brand from the USA: Sally Hansen in the Shade Sugar Fix. Keep reading to know more about the chosen shade!
What is ABC Challenge?
It is a challenge, organized by Helena from Lacky Corner, we are doing with some Facebook fellows who love and collect nail polish and have a lot of colours that have never been tried. The scope of the challenge is to start using those untried nail polishes in alphabetical order! Today is the turn of letter "S".

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Sugar fix is part of the collection "Daily delights" launched last year, but I think it is part of the permanent range so still available. Sally Hansen Miracle gel line is rather new, and it is a "no lamp" gel polish.

What is a "no light gel polsih"? This is a new trend a lot of brands have included in their ranges. They are special nail polishes with specially formulated topcoats that in theory apply as regular nail polish but perform as gel without the need of curing it with a lamp (UV or led lights). This means the manicure is glossier and more resistant lasting for longer than regular polish manicure but without the risks of the curing and the .
Concerning the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel formula and its promise to last 10 days, I've done a test and review here, if that tickles your fancy.

Sugar fix is a gorgeous cerulean blue crème, very difficult to photograph. In real life, the color is softer and warmer than in the pictures, where it appears more like a sky blue than a cerulean! This shade looks so spring like to my eyes, don't you think? that's the main reason why I picked it (also because it reminds me of my National flag). The formulation is good, making the application easy, totally opaque in two coats and extra glossy when it dries (if it dries). I applied two coats of colour with one coat of Special Sally Hansen Miracle gel topcoat, which took for eternity and a day to dry (after one hour and a half it was still dentable! :O )

The slow drying time made me crazy, but the color is so pretty I will give it another chance with a different topcoat and see how it goes. I'll keep you updated on that.

What do you think about this shade? Have you tried Sally Hansen Miracle gel nail polishes? Did you also have the slow drying issue?
